A Gift Of True Friendship”Surprise Baby Shower”

A gift of true friendship is hard to find. If you're one of the lucky stars to have come across such real type of bond, treasure them and make them last for a lifetime. I am forever thankful for having true friends who made me feel special and loved. I may not have that big circle of friends but I am definitely sure I have those guys with genuine heart. I'll share to you my surprise Baby Shower last 2015 which was organized by my friends. Two of my closest friends invited me to have a girls' day out with them when... Read More

An Early Bird Catches The Worm

I had just woken up when my alarm rang this morning. I was surprised seeing my husband was still awake finishing his programming task. I know how hardworking Mon is but I don’t want him to compromise his health just to earn extra income for our family. I asked him to sleep and finish his work later. We don’t intend to earn money just to pay for our hospital bills. Knock on wood. (Health is wealth Darling). I felt strangely groggy like I still would want to snuggle in between my pillows. I checked my phone clock again if it was... Read More

Peculiar Experience From 2 Different Personalities

I just had one of the most peculiar days at work today. I was able to assist two clients with two opposite personalities. My first client was an irritated customer who was so upset for getting an incorrect information, when he last asked the bank about his concern last Friday. He sounded irate and was even calling unpleasant names to the previous employee who assisted him. I am proud of myself for not being emotionally swayed by the customer’s frustrations. I guess, I am now learning how to choose my battles wisely. This is how the conversation went with my first... Read More

Stop The Blame Game

I can now relate to the hassle that parents are experiencing in bringing their active toddlers inside the church. I felt pity for Mon who was the one looking after Akyn when we attended the mass yesterday. Akyn couldn’t sit still in one place. Five minutes were long enough to make him behave. His Dad had no choice but to give in to his demands to walk and brought him outside or else he would make a scene while the mass was on going [caption id="attachment_1129" align="alignnone" width="2592"] Daddy with Akyn attending Sunday's Mass[/caption] I was amazed with Mon, he... Rules For A Happy Marriage

One of our wedding gifts that I like most is this wooden wall frame with a meaningful message about keeping the married life strong. This was given to me by my college friend. Let me share you a picture of it. Wedding is a one day happy celebration of the formal union between lovers taking their vow in front of God, but after the ceremony it's when the real married life begins. Marriage isn't just about the honeymoon stage. It can't be compared to the fairytale stories in books we thought to be real when we were kids. Marriage needs to be fed by the couples... Read More

My Endless Lists of Akyn’s Antics

I have a special talent I want to share with you. It’s a talent most mothers are capable of doing. Are you interested to know about my hidden expertise? I have the capability of going out of the building where I work in less than 5 minutes after my scheduled log out time from my shift. How awesome is that? I come to the office on time and I also go out of the office on the dot. I am always itching to go home to spend time with my baby. Who wouldn’t have that restless desire to head home... Read More

When I Crushed His Soul

We had our first team meeting last week in the office with our new teammates for our new schedules. I am thankful that I still got the same schedule that I had last year which makes it easier for me to plan my vacation leaves. I just hope that I will still retain my current schedule for the next 6 months. Change is the only thing that is constant in our line of business and I have learned to adjust to it. Oh, come on who wouldn’t be able to adapt to it if you love your job, right? (sanguine mood) One... Read More

A Grateful Heart

“Guys system is down.” I am on a state of complete happiness whenever I could hear my manager blasting this news to us. This would mean I could rest my voice while my mind and my fingers are working typing this blog entry. I am thankful that once in a blue moon, this rare scenario happens at work giving me an ample time to relax a bit. This is one of the simplest things that deserves my gratitude. Exercising gratitude was not my thing when I was younger. When I received something from someone like a gift or a favor, I... Read More

My Priorities

I was once invited to join a business refresher that tackled about setting your goals in life by knowing your priorities. The entire course aimed to let the participants achieve self fulfillment by realizing their goals in their lives. We were asked to write down our priorities based on the importance on which of them matters first. My list included: FAMILY CAREER My family has always been my first priority. I was asked by my previous managers if I do have any plans of advancing myself into a higher position from my current role in the company. My answer always starts... Read More

The Art of Throwback

Let’s do the art of throwback for a beautiful Thursday morning. I was sorting out printed pictures today of Baby Akyn’s first birthday photo album when I found my nostalgia-inducing pictures showcasing a different era of my life. A sassy looking high school teenager who was jovial and enthusiastic in discovering the deeper meaning of life. This is a picture of me dancing to the beat of the music of Britney Spears entitled, "Anticipating." I am still a great fan of Britney Spears up until now. My Classmates and I tried to copy Britney’s costume during her Dream within a Dream Tour... Read More

Weekend Special

I just had an amazing weekend well spent with my family. My Papa and my Sister visited us at home. It’s seldom that all of us can be together due to our work schedules and the travel time that it will take from my parent’s house to our own house. It takes about 2 to 3 hours of travel and it’s difficult for us to travel with Akyn on board. A month ago when we were traveling by bus, Akyn had been screaming without pause crying hysterically throwing an extreme tantrums. He hates being  stuck in a place where there... Read More

Please Promise Me That You’ll Say YES

I was a bit puzzled when Mon gave me a tight cuddle and a couple of kisses when we were about to sleep. I was about to ask him if he had eaten something sweet that made him extra intimate with me with his actions. I was suspecting he was up to something with the manner in which he was behaving. He finally confessed about a request for me. However, before he would let me know about it, I needed to promise him a guaranteed  YES to it. I firmly told him I wanted to know his request first before agreeing to it.... Read More

Akyn Where’s My ID?

I had a feeling I left something at home while I was on my way to the office today. Have you tried such intuition but you can’t explain what’s that thing that you’re missing? I dismissed the vague idea that I may have left something important and continued my itinerary to the office. When I was about to submit my bag for inspection to the security personnel  before going inside the building where our office is located, I started to panic when I couldn’t find my company ID. I checked every compartment of my bag and it wasn’t really there. I... Read More

Goodbye iPad Mini

Hello everyone happy Saturdate for those going on a date on a weekend. It’s my rest day today and I am excited to stay at home with my baby and my hubby. I’ll be blogging one entry before I’ll start my day with my boys.   What’s that one thing that you hated the most to discuss as the source of fight between you and your spouse? Well, if you are going to ask me, it’s about financial disagreement. I just hate fighting about money. Mon and I share the same sentiments about MONEY. It is something replaceable and it should not be the... Read More

My Sister Nailed It

Finally, it's March. The month in which the school year closes here in the Philippines. I presume the teachers are busy sorting out their medals and certificates to whom they are going to award them. Let's talk about achievements and awards then as my first entry for the month of March. My sister’s schedule last January was so hectic preparing for the Regional Athletic tournament which was held in our town place. She was busy preparing her classroom as one of the rooms that would accommodate the athletes together with their respective coaches. Aside from the preparation responsibility, she was also...
