Brastuga Brazilian & Portuguese Cuisine

I'm done writing my daily journal for today and now I'm hitting my Akynfullhouse blog update. Is that how much I'm into writing? No wonder my eyes are always attracted to writing pads and all sorts of stationery. So what's the meat for today's post? Will have another restaurant review. Yumyum!  Apart from going to shops, our second favourite thing to do is to try out different eating places nearby. Because our house location is favourably situated near to most stores and restaurants, we have the luxury then of dropping by anytime we like. Isn't that amazing? Oh, yeah defintely! Decided... Day With My Boys

Getting productive on a rest day is an accomplishment for a busy Momma like me. Woke up at seven to help my Akyn be ready for school, had a delicious breakfast made by my Mon as he usually does the cooking at home now. I'm just too tired to do it after shift. Bet most nurses can relate to the feeling of exhaustion after a long day duty. After the meal, did iron my uniform, laundry, netflix chill movie time for me then had another nap. Who wouldn't want to recharge themselves before another hustle in the ward for the... Read More

The Funny Boots

Having loads of bloopers in life would mean getting plenty of happy thoughts to look back making our lives a bit full of joy. You know those days when we're fully out of our sanity and then we'll just say," Oh, no shucks I did it wrong again!" It's absolutely good to be cautious in every move we do, I  agree. But for me my take is, half-witted events don't necessarily equates to foolishness. We need some icebreakers sometimes, don't we? So, here's one of my imbecilic moment again. Last week, Michio my close friend asked me to attend the mass at twelve... Read More

Unplanned Leeds

Now I've proven how bad I am when it comes to listening skills. It may sound kind of an easy task to do but not for everybody. LOL. My listening part gained the lowest score during my IELTS exam before. Why was that? Your guess is as good as mine. So, last weekends my close friend Michio asked me if I was free to go on a quick trip to Leeds. I didn't know what kind of bug had blocked my ears because I definitely heard her say Tesco instead of Leeds. Without thinking I said yes. I'm always on... Read More

Kurdistan Restaurant

Drinking a cuppa, completely wrapped with my thick blanket while writing this post is my complete description of what I call as my relaxation. Yes rest day, it is. My boys are preoccupied finishing Akyn's homework in writing the Alphabet. Akyn is almost at the end of his little workbook in less than a week. Whoah! He's loving it. Thanks God. When on rest day I oftentimes feel lazy to do anything. If I could only choose to stay within the comfort between my blanket especially now that summer is over. Nooooo! But obviously I can't. You know the life... Read More

New Home

Finally felt settled enough to start updating my Akynfullhouse. Got so busy with my non stop duty schedule plus our moving house agenda. Can't even find enough time to rest. This is the cruel reality of a working pretty Momma. LOL. Bet you might be able to relate to it as well. We moved house on the 9th of September which was my Akyn's first day of school, too. Can you imagine the stress of a mother coming straight from a night shift then tasked to complete the day without rest? Oh yes, tell me more about it. But I... Read More

Bike With Me

Got loads of stuff done this morning. First task accomplished was to sleep. Then sleep for another hour and eventually slept until midday. Yikes! What can we expect to do on a rainy cold morning anyway during your rest day? Felt so cozy warming my body under the thick duvet with my four year old boy sitting on the bed playing with his toys while I am dozing off. How extremely sweet that moment is? Mon is busy working from home in the living room albeit the bed weather for the whole day. Uh felt sorry for him for he... Read More

School Prep

Woke up today and determined to post another blog when my four year old boy took over my blogging space and said, "I want to play some music with Spotify Mommie." Like seriously these kids nowadays are totally different from our generation. I didn't even know what WiFi was for until I was already in college. Told my boy he can play any song if he can manage to turn it on. That's Akyn taking over my spot. Lo and behold, he did perfectly open Spotify and filled our flat with his disco mood. Hands down to my techie little... Read More

Leeds Shopping Haul

A few days ago the weather was the real summer for me with the temperature reaching the maximum of 31°C. Felt like I'm in Cebu with the scorching heat of the sun, definitely loving it. Hi to all summer lover like me. ♥ Get your skimpy shorts on paired with your sleeveless tops. Yay! As promised, this post is about my shopping haul in Leeds. One thing that excites me in every travel is the shopping part of it. Of course I am happy to visit new places, take pictures of every scenery but the best part of it is... Read More

Leeds

A dream come true of traveling together finally happened last Sunday when we went to Leeds for the first time. Yay! Thank you Lord. That was our first destination here in England out from Hull where we are based. Super enjoyed the one day escape from our typical day. How much more when we will have few days travel itinerary in the future? That would definitely be a blast I supposed! After rendering a night shift from my second job, went straight to have a quick shower then breakfast and slept for an hour to recharge myself. It's like a... Read More

Lil Bestfriend and 5D Diamond Painting

Conversation with my four year old boy before bedtime: What's your prayer to Papa God? Akyn: "Na mawala na ang virus." "Doctors to find cure and sick people to stay at home to be healthy again." I thought he's going to ask for more toys or clothes but no. It made me happy knowing I must have done something right to raise him with this kind of thoughtfulness to others. Hoping he will continue to have such pure loving heart. 💕 I'm spending more time with my boy now especially during my time off. He's like my little buddy who's... Read More

Tight-Lipped

I thought that keeping mum would help you get away from conflict. Well I'm wrong. It's not true because if we do, people will start putting words into our mouth that we've never said, labeling actions we've never done, accusing thoughts we've never thought of at all. Cruel world where we are living. Whether we keep our distance from NEGATRONS or choose to negate with their opinions about us, there will always be something they will discuss against you in their own little circle of friends. In instances like this what would you normally do? For me, I'd rather find... Read More

July

A new month again came without us noticing the days passing because things are still not back to the normal days we had before. (Sigh) How's your first week of July pretty mommas? Mine started with a mixture of work related activity plus the mum's job at home. Mum's typical day, isn't it? My second work training finally started. Yey! I'm more than excited to explore another field in my nursing job. Nursing in the UK doesn't only mean hospital based which is where I am assigned now. We can also choose to work in the community, care homes, or... Read More

6th Year and Counting

One of my most awaited vacation leave for the year finally came. Plans of going anywhere far? Not really. Bound to stay at home for my almost a week of stay at home rest from my demanding job. Anything special? Absolutely yes! Yesterday marked our 6th wedding anniversary. Another milestone achieved for our marriage. Looking back, we were just a couple madly in love with our differences in many aspects who decided to agree to disagree and get our love be officially blessed by our Catholic religion. Through the years several storms we've managed to surpass though we both knew... Read More

Sleepless Warrior

We are now in the middle month of the year. How's everyone doing? If we are still breathing up to this point then we should be thankful for surviving. It's not yet the end of the battle though as there is no vaccine available yet against Covid 19. No time to be complacent, not the right time to ignore those precautions to keep everybody safe. Three days off Mommas but felt like it's too short for me to complete all the things I wanted to do at home. You know all the cleaning stuff I got to make as the... Read More

Starting All Over Again

On the second day of my time off I did loads of task to do some clean up in our little flat. Well done to me! Now that my family is here I felt like my accommodation is too small for the three of us. Unlike before when it was only me who seldom stays home during rest days as I rather would go to either the gym or do some shopping, sometimes to my friend's house. Totally opposite from now because we spend more time at home together. My flat here is like a little condo type if we... Read More
