Dare to Bare

Spending a quite sweaty morning alone doing my routine gym activity with my headset in place playing the same music all over again. Guess what song was on repeat mode? It's Get Ugly by Jason Derulo. I would prefer to listen to an upbeat song when I'm running as it distracts me from getting too concentrated with my exhaustion and inspires me more to push myself harder with every rhythmic stresses of the music. Amazing with how my endurance can now withstand running for an hour without breaks in between. I don't have plans yet of joining  any marathon. Just... Read More

Hey Poppet

"When are you going to work again Poppet?" one of my service users asked me when I was about to end my shift. I wonder why most of them call me this term but when I searched on what's the English meaning of this endearment, I was touched. I'm blessed to have met such sweet wonderful people in this lifetime at work. "I'll be back tomorrow to see you smile again," my genuine response of eagerness to work with the same bay the following night. How was the first graveyard shift? It wasn't as relaxed as I pictured it out... Read More

Hobby Craft

Adrenaline coursed through my veins with layers of sweat covering my face running down to my nape as I kept my breathing steady, I did push myself harder and faster moving my limbs running on a treadmill. Forty minutes had passed but I was still running like I was chased by an unknown monster ready to grab my hair. I've noticed the old man curiously looking at me on when would I ever stop running. If I could see the bubble thought on his head, he must have wondered if I was a damsel in distress. My mind was frantic... Read More

Live Love Laugh

The blazing heat of the sun was hitting towards my glass window when I woke up today around half past seven. I could overhear the cheerful voices of my neighborhood kids messing around with their friends. How nice it is to feel like a kid again! Back to reality here I am with my body wanting to curl up in bed for few more minutes but I was already hearing my tummy making a grumbling sound of getting deprived to eat. Get your sexy bum out of bed Mich! I seriously got no organized plan today! After two days of... Read More

Say It

The clock was ticking while I was patiently waiting in queue for my name to be called yesterday. Half an hour had past still I was on the same spot with my headset on trying to divert my attention to the music rather than giving in to my building irritation of waiting. After fifteen minutes more, a staff had seen me and thankfully he managed to cater my needs for the day. Though I was almost at the end of my rope, the attendant pacified my raging hormone by saying the word,"SORRY!" How often do we say this? Maybe once... Read More

Made Even Better

Are you a fan of browsing Pinterest for some creative ideas of any do-it-your own projects? I am as well a patron of Pinterest especially when it comes to making a handmade output for parties or just simply decorations at home. However, this time, I am proud to make one of my DIY for my room display without searching for any suggested concepts online. Yes, I made it! I promised to myself that every rest day I should accomplish something worthwhile not only having a siesta for all day. That's not productive, is it? I love to lazily curl up... Read More

Always A Beginner

Gloomy weather for the rest of the day this week and so do my mood is. To lift my state of my mind I kept on replaying the video of Coldplay in collaboration with Queen Bey singing Hymn for the Weekend. I find the RnB beat and the message of the song both interesting. One of the song's line says, "LIFE IS A DRINK and LOVE IS A DRUG. Oh yeah, definitely life is drink but it will depend on you what fluid will you take in be it the irresistibly sweet one or the bitter taste which can make... Read More

Japanese Horror Manga

This chilly breezing night with raindrops heard from my window pane sets my mood to trigger my solitude time. Let's start writing working fellas! I've just finished reading two Japanese Manga compilation of horror stories by Junji Ito this week. Isn't that obvious how much I loved them enabling me to completely read the books in three days to be exact. Crazy Manga fan reader, I am! A co-Cebuano and a Filipino nurse I recently gotten to know with happened to post his new purchased book online. Without any sense of hesitation, I asked Joseph questions as to where he... Read More

Idle Is Not My Favorite

While reading some articles online I came across with the  famous verse stating,"Idle hands are the devil’s workshop; idle lips are his mouthpiece." I couldn't agree more to the message for I share the same sentiments when it comes to how I spend my day especially during rest days. Just to clarify being idle is different to getting a good rest after a tiring job. Idle for me simply means choosing to be lazy to do things which we are supposed to be doing. It's like living with no purpose, opting to be unproductive if you can certainly  do the... Read More

Surviving Living In A Foreign Land

I always do have that perception in the past that if people will work abroad especially in western countries, life will get easier compared to how things are going back home. Many still got the same way of thinking like mine typically to those who haven't tried working miles away from their homeland. Am I correct or am I totally CORRECT? Choose your answer between the two. Lol. Well, we can't blame them as it is what they usually observe on how the life of an overseas worker improve after working for quite sometime earning a currency higher than a... Read More

A Whole New World

How should I start describing my day? I honestly don't how to say it in words. It was a mixture of memory provoking events, I guess. Would you like to know why? My morning started with something incredible. Yes, I successfully enrolled myself into a gym. I never knew it's going to be that exciting, seriously. I wanted to release all those negative emotions of mine hidden somewhere through sweating. Getting exhausted made all my worries and all the aches gone for a moment. You should try one as well. Morning was quite productive. Yey! The business is called Nuffield... Read More

I Made It

It's a consistent response of mine to get terribly emotionally troubled whenever I am about to take a major examination. I posted my journey when I took my CBT entitled Apprehensions, in case you wanted to know how I dealt with it. Few steps I've discussed which may help you clear your mind before your exam date. These past few days was somehow like a roller coaster of soul-stirring series of events. Can you imagine how difficult it was to combat such struggle alone without your family with you? It wasn't easy. From the moment when I knew about our... Read More

Pain and Anger

If I am going to let you score your pain with zero as no pain and ten as the worst how would you rate it?" This is the best suitable question for me today to describe my headache on my way home. I would rate it as seven. Yes, it was extremely painful! Maybe because of the cold rainy weather in which my body isn't liking it at ALL when I am out of the house. Thank you Ren for the paracetamol tablet to ease my discomfort. That's the benefit of having a nurse friend.(wink) Thanks God I am finally... Read More

Beautiful Memories

It's my favorite time to sit in front of my study table after my long day, alone with my headset popped inside my ears listening to some old OPM music (Original Pilipino Music) because I can finally relax and have some ME time. It's a helpful habit beautiful mommas to release unwanted negativities of the day. Try it sometimes. How was my day today? I'm happy to explore some stores near my house accommodation. Good thing few of them were open today though it's a bank holiday in the UK. Their bank holidays here is equivalent to our legal holidays... Read More

Be Still Be Calm

I am writing this post as the bright day is slowly changing into a black curtain drape of the night and while listening to some 90's slow rhythm love song. Writing makes my whole senses calm when I felt like all the pressures thrown for me to face is starting to squeeze every bit of sanity left in me. It's like a soft melody soothing my tired self. If you could imagine that. During the mass today, Father Dawson mentioned something about the joy of success. He explained that in the road towards success we are expected to meet hardships... Bridlington Sea Front

When I came here I already knew that there are several nice places to visit not just in this country but also to the neighboring countries of the UK. However, I wasn't expecting I could do travelling without my travel buddies, my Mon and my Akyn. We all love unwinding ourselves from stress by going to places we've never been to and we prefer to do it as a family together with Mama and Papa. Now that I'm away, I never thought it is still going to be part of my bucket list to do it. I'm super thankful to... Read More
