We started our family Manito Manita on the second week of December and had everyone picked the names to whom they are going to give the gifts to. Not all bad things happen because they were meant to let people suffer. We had several ideas on what to use like mugs, key chains, fridge magnets, etc. There are so many options leaving me confused to decide which one to choose. One of the perks of having a software developer husband is getting a perfect design for party needs like tarpaulin making or invitation layout. We planned to have a dinner together a month before my birthday. There’s something so special for this year to be together. With the worst traffic congestion during rush hours in Cebu City, you’ll expect to feel you are already ready to drop by the moment you reach home. We met with Akyn’s Ninong (godfather), Ruel and his family last week to talk about some adulting stuff. Surprised to see Nathan was there to join the night with. If we brought our Akyn with us, we’re certain he would be more than excited to see his Kuya Nathan again. They’ve met during special gatherings not just once but in several occasions. We’ve decided to change our six seater dining table at home into a four seater instead. Deca homes model houses aren’t that spacious for most of the units. To save space and to make our home look bigger we had to adjust some of our furniture, too. Just so timely, my sister is still looking for a dining table for her house in Naga. So, we gave her our old dining set. It needed some minor repairs but definitely still looks presentable. For the past two years and 10 months we have already accumulated at least two huge boxes of assorted toys for Akyn. How was it possible? I’m starting to print out our latest family photos for my photo album collection. Call me an old school Momma, I won’t mind because it’s true. I prefer to have the printed copies of our pictures kept secured using a photo album rather than relying to the digital method of storing data. I like the feeling of touching the photos while reminiscing the beautiful memory behind it. Most of our shots were a DIY photo session with either me holding the camera or my husband. The three of us finally decided to visit SM Seaside Cebu last Sunday after almost three years from the date when it opened. Yey! One down from our checklist. We kept on postponing our attempt to go there every time we had a chance to, simply because we felt lazy traveling. What a great excuse!
