A Glance To His World

What a night to remember we had yesteday! My husband’s employer invited the family members of their employees for the office official blessing. I was hesitant to visit due to some time constraints and also, I am not really fond of attending to social gatherings not unless I know someone close to me who shall be present on the event as well. I had persuaded Mon to attend our pool party with my colleagues last Thursday. It was just right for me to reciprocate to his request in engaging for their office gatherings. How was the experience? If there’s someone who... Read More

Let Me Post It

When Social Media became a hit as one of the channels to socialize with people way back when I was in College, I got so hooked into it. I had made a lot of friends online without really knowing them personally. I had the chance in connecting to people regardless of the distance. It was like everything was possible! I can post whatever I like, share photos and drop comments if I wanted too. Amazing, right? As I advance my age, I realized some of the negative effects of getting so much engrossed with social media. My private life became... Read More

Room Renovation

I can finish as many as 10 to 12 blog entries per month before. But now, I find it hard to even compose a topic for my blog. I’ve been so preoccupied with all my responsibilities. Phew! Blogging is part of my world which means I can’t afford to drop it just because I got too many things in my plate as of the moment.♥ Anyway, what’s the real meat of this blog entry? Nothing! I merely want to say Hi.☺ Lol. Seriously, I want to share you our room renovation projects. Interesting huh? When Mon and I started as... Read More

Honoring God’s Gift

On my way home, I overheard some group of girls sitting behind my spot talking about adulting concerns. I didn’t intend to listen to their private personal agendas but couldn’t help it because their voices were audible enough for the rest of the passengers to listen. (makin excuses for eavesdropping lol) One of girls was narrating about how difficult it was to work on a graveyard shift and was giving pieces of advice to one of their colleagues who seemed to look so unwell because of the lack of sleep. In a nutshell, she looked so haggardly overworked. Poor girl!... Read More

Witnessing Road Rage

I always choose to ride a public utility van every Saturday to avoid the long queue in waiting for a bus on my way home to the southern part of Cebu. It was a typical day for me following the same routine after my shift. Nothing’s really extraordinary not until I started my journey in heading home. I unexpectedly had to occupy the front seat as the only vacant slot available. I hate and I’m scared in sitting on that spot. Not all drivers are careful enough to observe road ethics. Anyway, how was the experience sitting in front? It... Read More

De-Stressing

I have so much appreciation for those who can afford to be patient enough while applying their creativeness in making DIY projects be it for business purposes or merely as a hobby. I do greatly support any of my friends who has the passion for making unique creations. One of my friends Chinkai the creator of Karaykays is into making personalized bracelets, necklace, pair of earrings and unique book marks. It’s quite amazing when she told me before how her side interest helped her in releasing her stresses. It allowed her to express her emotions with every intricate details applied... Read More

Easter Egg Burger

Happy Easter Sunday everyone. Because it’s Easter, my sister and I made a homemade burger with eggs as one of its main ingredients. Yey! Cravings satisfied. I recently watched the advertisement of some local fast food chains about their enticing burgers which made me salivate with just the sight of it. But upon purchasing one of the delectable burgers as shown on TV, I came to experience what it means with the quote that says“REALITY versus EXPECTATIONS”. Lol I better make my own food rather than believing with those witty tactics of those businesses. Note to self: Not all that glitters are gold. Ok, let's start cooking instead!... Read More

Haircut Disaster

When you’d try to Do-it-your-own your toddler’s haircut and you’re not an expert in doing so, expect a terrible result. My sister attempted to fix Akyn’s hair but an epic fail outcome happened. Prior to the disaster haircut, my toddler kept on complaining about his bangs irritating his eyes which triggered my sister to relieve the discomfort by applying her amazing skills in trimming his hair.(eyes rolled)? The result of the DIY toddler hairstyle. He looked liked a cute cartoon character on this photo. It was difficult to keep an active boy to stay in one position while his bangs... Read More

Surprise In A Box

Last night’s congestion of traffic was so terrible as always expected during Valentine’s Day and it happened to be the Ash Wednesday as well of the Catholic calendar. That simply means a busy city for Cebu. I plotted a vacation leave but cancelled it at the last minute thinking I got nothing to do at home, so better save my allocation for my time off request. I'm busy making money while others are enjoying their awesome day. Bummer! Because Heart’s Day was just around the corner last week, I started hinting Mon on what type of gifts I was expecting.... Akynfullhouse 1st Year Anniversary

Exactly one year ago, the 7th of February of 2017 when I started hitting the button to publish a post without having any idea on what I was doing. All I was thinking was to start writing a part of my life and share it to my blog readers. Finally, today marked the 1st year anniversary of Akynfullhouse. For those wondering where our blog name came from, I named it after my son, Akyn (the picture featured on this blog post) and full house simply means this blog contains most of our family life events. Nothing much to explain about... Read More

My Webtoon Fantasy Versus Him My Reality

I getting addicted reading cartoon Webtoon comics online and even had completed few of them in one day. The male protagonists in most of the stories I read were all described as close to perfect partners every woman desires to be with. The almost too good to be true fantasy characters made me to compare about my husband’s way of caring for me. I once blurted it out to him why he couldn’t be as perfect like the comics I’ve been reading. It’s a ridiculous question, I know! Rather than getting defensive, he laughed it out while saying,” Webtoon  must have gone thru your... Read More

Michie’s Likes

Last week was quite a busy week for Cebu because of the Sinulog Celebration. One of the local festival most Cebuano’s are excited to experience. For the very first time, we let Akyn witness Sinulog sa Kabataan and enjoy the colorful sight of vibrantly dressed street dancers offering their performance to Senior Santo Niño. He was mesmerized with the joyous event seeing children dancing on the street with every beat of the drum. It wasn’t that crowded compared to the actual Sinulog Day, so, we really had a nice spot to view them. The performers came from the different participating... Read More
