Bath Trip Part 2

We were celebrating my sister’s graduation for her Master’s Degree in her teaching profession yesterday. All her hardwork had finally paid off with an additional achievement unlocked in her career development. Nothing is really impossible if we are determined to get our goals realized. Thank you dear God for another family blessing.๐Ÿ˜˜

For today’s blog post is the second part of our Bath, Somerset family holiday. I am so proud of ourselves in making our DIY travel a memorable one. Yes, we normally don’t avail for a travel package when we go explore places. To save our travel budget what we do instead is to search the tourist spots of our destination ahead of time and make a list of our travel itinerary. In that way, we are free to manage our time without getting restricted with the timeframe of any travel agent. Isn’t that more economical as well as so exciting to do?

Here are few of the legendary places to visit in Bath

  1. Bath Abbey– a parish church located next to the Roman Bath. Funny thing about our trip was us not knowing it was already the Bath Abbey behind us. After we went to the Roman Bath, we then headed to the Circus and tried to locate Bath Abbey. Walked for about fifteen minutes only to find out we were back to where we came from. (LOL) Lesson learned is to know the proximity of each places to avoid going around in circles. Anyway, it added to the laughter of our trip. Sometimes being silly is not a sign of dumbness, it’s a blissful way to create a happy memory. Remember that!

The tourists were already queueing behind us to get to the Roman Bath.

This shot was taken at the left side of the church with less people posing for a photo.

2. Fashion Museum– A bit disappointed it was closed during our travel. Took pictures outside the building rather than sulking about it. Maybe next time will visit again when it’s open.

3. The Circus- it includes large townhouses in the City of Bath forming into a circle. It was so beautiful pretty Mommas. While we were taking photos, I’ve seen some local residents watching all the tourists excitedly taking photos of their houses. I bet they must be used to it knowing their place is one of the most visited area in Bath.

4. The Royal Crescent– set of townhouses built to form like a cresent shape. One of the locals was super kind to offer himself to take a photo of the three of us here. We forgot to pack our tripod during this trip. Next time I need to make a list as well on what to bring. Not that bad though as that was only thing I forgot to bring with us.

It was super windy when we came here but that didn’t bother us from enjoying the beautiful scenery.

5. The Pulteney Bridge– Very accessible to where the pedestrians walk. We went down on the right side of the photo opposite to where we were standing to find some boats offering a boat tour in Bath. However, because of the strong wind and the flow of water was quite dangerous at that time, there wasn’t any boat ride for the public. Understandable as we went there after storm Eunice hit the UK.

I still got Bath part three on my next post. Hope this list will guide you if ever you wanted to visit Bath, Somerset. It was super worth it for a family get away.
