Pillow Souvenir

I promised in my previous blog topic (My Personal Tarpaulin Maker) that I will be posting a separate post regarding our Akyn’s birthday souvenir. So, here it is. We had several ideas on what to use like mugs, key chains, fridge magnets, etc. There are so many options leaving me confused to decide which one to choose. During our Akyn’s Christening we had a do-it-your own teddy bear made of bath towels. The souvenirs perfectly matched with our brown Teddy Bear theme. The tags were also made by Mon. A project made with love for baby Akyn. [gallery ids="8581,8580" type="rectangular"]... Read More

My Personal Tarpaulin Maker

One of the perks of having a software developer husband is getting a perfect design for party needs like tarpaulin making or invitation layout. From our wedding tarpaulin up to Akyn’s special events like his Christening and birthday parties, it was Mon who designed all of them with no SWEAT. When I say no sweat, that’s literally an easy task like a piece of cake for him. What I love about his work ethics too, is his being so particular with the output. He won’t say it’s final not until the output is close to perfection. I don’t know how... Read More

Photo Printing Hobby

I’m starting to print out our latest family photos for my photo album collection. Call me an old school Momma, I won’t mind because it’s true. I prefer to have the printed copies of our pictures kept secured using a photo album rather than relying to the digital method of storing data. I like the feeling of touching the photos while reminiscing the beautiful memory behind it. Most of our shots were a DIY photo session with either me holding the camera or my husband. As long as we have a functioning camera with a pretty view for our background... Read More

First Christmas Tree

Because the BER month already started, we are also excited to start planning for our Christmas decorations at home. We are that eager to celebrate Christmas, aren’t we? Mon and I were lazily browsing some Christmas trees online trying to compare the designs and their respective prices when our toddler happily pointed his finger on the phone screen and was demanding the color of the product of his choice. “Buy Christmas Tweet ( Christmas Tree),” Akyn’s request while helping us decide which one to purchase. Few online merchants posted beautiful stocks on hand, however, as we read through the reviews,... Read More

Stairs Renovation

Our little home needs lots of renovations still. From the moment when we were granted the permission to occupy by our home developers until now, we made quite a few improvements to it. It was merely a simple box house with a toilet, uncovered kitchen with sink and stairs. Nothing extra ordinary! If you are so meticulous with the aesthetic side of the house, it would be hard for you to decide to reserve for one. It was on sale when I grabbed the opportunity to have my own space. With only P5000.00 reservation, you can move in then start your monthly mortgage payment. Isn’t... Read More

Room Renovation

I can finish as many as 10 to 12 blog entries per month before. But now, I find it hard to even compose a topic for my blog. I’ve been so preoccupied with all my responsibilities. Phew! Blogging is part of my world which means I can’t afford to drop it just because I got too many things in my plate as of the moment.♥ Anyway, what’s the real meat of this blog entry? Nothing! I merely want to say Hi.☺ Lol. Seriously, I want to share you our room renovation projects. Interesting huh? When Mon and I started as... Read More

De-Stressing

I have so much appreciation for those who can afford to be patient enough while applying their creativeness in making DIY projects be it for business purposes or merely as a hobby. I do greatly support any of my friends who has the passion for making unique creations. One of my friends Chinkai the creator of Karaykays is into making personalized bracelets, necklace, pair of earrings and unique book marks. It’s quite amazing when she told me before how her side interest helped her in releasing her stresses. It allowed her to express her emotions with every intricate details applied... Read More

Easter Egg Burger

Happy Easter Sunday everyone. Because it’s Easter, my sister and I made a homemade burger with eggs as one of its main ingredients. Yey! Cravings satisfied. I recently watched the advertisement of some local fast food chains about their enticing burgers which made me salivate with just the sight of it. But upon purchasing one of the delectable burgers as shown on TV, I came to experience what it means with the quote that says“REALITY versus EXPECTATIONS”. Lol I better make my own food rather than believing with those witty tactics of those businesses. Note to self: Not all that glitters are gold. Ok, let's start cooking instead!... Read More

Buko Palamig for Summer

I am officially opening the start of my summer for this year. Yey! With the unbearable hotness of the weather, I can really feel my summer in the blazing heat of the sun. Who’s not excited to get tanned and enjoy swimming? Get ready with your cool beach swimwear ladies.(Wink)☺ Because I feel so hot both literally and figuratively (lol), I made a Buko Gulaman drink for my first try. I had published about my Buko Pandan salad , this time I added some twist on it by turning it into a plain Milky Buko Drink with clear Gulaman. The... Read More

Buko Pandan Salad Recipe

Mama celebrated her birthday yesterday and I was the one in charge in the kitchen for the preparation of food. Can you believe that? Miraculously, I survived the challenge of being a chef just for my mother's special day. I'll share to you my first time experience in making a Buko Pandan Salad. A celebration won’t be complete without the presence of the sweetness of a dessert. It's a bit exciting experimenting my power in coming up with the dessert using my own instinct in adjusting its ingredients depending on the number of servings I want to make. Ingredients good for 10-12... Read More

What To Pack When Traveling With Your Toddler

For the very first time, I tried traveling alone with my toddler. I am always hesitant to leave the house with Akyn without someone with me. I’m pretty sure most of the Mommies reading this post, can totally relate as to how difficult it is to travel with your toddler unaided with anyone. It’s like bringing your entire house supply with you. Yes, it’s an exaggeration but this is a difficult challenge for real. If you’ve tried packing things for a travel with your infant, probably your load will double once your child will reach the Toddler active stage. I tried... Read More

Trick Or Treat

One of my favorite celebrations every year is the All Saint’s Eve or the Halloween. When I was young, I always look forward for the event to come for I am excited to watch horror films. Most of the movies shown on TV during Halloween include stories about paranormal experiences, ghosts and scary creatures which were all my favorite genres to watch. Funny thing was after watching it, I would spend several hours before I could sleep well. I was bothered with the fear of being attacked with those imaginary monsters. My Mama reprimanded me for being silly watching frightening scenes making... Read More

No Bake Cheese Mac Recipe

My first day of the working week “Monday” started with an adrenaline rush episode. I set my alarm incorrectly. Goodness gracious! The careless me thought it was scheduled to alarm by 4:30 AM but it wasn’t. My husband noticed it was set to ring at 4:30 PM. We both woke up at exactly 5:30 in the morning, the same time when we were supposed to be already heading to work. We haven’t eaten our breakfast but fortunately managed to packed for our lunch and some snacks. It took us 15 minutes to finish everything and got ourselves ready to leave home. It... Read More

Chicken Cordon Bleu-No Bake

Our home renovation project for my parents house ended yesterday. I can finally say, "IT’S OVER!” We’re free from all the stresses both physically and financially. It’s a tiring process but once you'll see the end results of the changes, you’ll be happy and proud seeing the fruit of your hard work. So, what’s the plan after finishing the job? Because I was exhausted, I got zero plans. Bummer! I want to cook something that I haven't tried before but I didn't get the time to do some groceries. Good thing, we had some left over ingredients available. I experimented cooking Chicken Cordon Bleu, the no-bake method... Read More
