My Personal Tarpaulin Maker

One of the perks of having a software developer husband is getting a perfect design for party needs like tarpaulin making or invitation layout. From our wedding tarpaulin up to Akyn’s special events like his Christening and birthday parties, it was Mon who designed all of them with no SWEAT. When I say no sweat, that’s literally an easy task like a piece of cake for him. What I love about his work ethics too, is his being so particular with the output. He won’t say it’s final not until the output is close to perfection. I don’t know how... Read More

Osting’s by the Sea Restaurant, Bar + Grill

We planned to have a dinner together a month before my birthday. There’s something so special for this year to be together. I don't have the definite answer if we can still make this family time as often as we wanted to by the moment my new opportunities for my professional growth will start to get realized. As much as we do have the time, then will make the most of it for now. [caption id="attachment_8311" align="aligncenter" width="3000"] Mama, My sister Me An and her BF Eric[/caption] Please excuse my overly focused face. ☺ [caption id="attachment_8303" align="aligncenter" width="3000"] The opposite side of... Colorful Socks for a Colorful Life

With the worst traffic congestion during rush hours in Cebu City, you’ll expect to feel you are already ready to drop by the moment you reach home. After we spent almost three hours of travel from work and while walking towards our house, it was a perfect timing when the electricity went off. Seriously! What an ideal timing. I can really sleep tonight without any power supply at home.(insert sarcasm☺). Mon assured me it would take only a few minutes, not even an hour for the power to get back on. He must be a previous employee of the electric... Read More

Dining Table Shopping

We’ve decided to change our six seater dining table at home into a four seater instead. Deca homes model houses aren’t that spacious for most of the units. To save space and to make our home look bigger we had to adjust some of our furniture, too. Just so timely, my sister is still looking for a dining table for her house in Naga. So, we gave her our old dining set. It needed some minor repairs but definitely still looks presentable. I’m happy it didn’t go to waste.☺ Getting the design we wanted wasn’t as easy like buying it... Read More

Educational Toys

For the past two years and 10 months we have already accumulated at least two huge boxes of assorted toys for Akyn. How was it possible? Every trip to the mall my child never misses to request for one. The loving parents find it hard to say no to his sweet request. “Mommy toy please,” he said it with his cutest smile. Though there were few instances that I have to say no to his choice of toys but I haven’t experienced him throwing a fit in public for not getting what he wanted. Thank you Lord! I’m crossing my... Photo Printing Hobby

I’m starting to print out our latest family photos for my photo album collection. Call me an old school Momma, I won’t mind because it’s true. I prefer to have the printed copies of our pictures kept secured using a photo album rather than relying to the digital method of storing data. I like the feeling of touching the photos while reminiscing the beautiful memory behind it. Most of our shots were a DIY photo session with either me holding the camera or my husband. As long as we have a functioning camera with a pretty view for our background... Read More

Royal Krua Thai Dinner

We made an agreement yesterday with Mon to meet up after our work schedules because ammh we missed each other I guess?☺Haha. He misses me everyday according to him that’s how powerful my beauty is. No violent reaction please so I can proceed finishing this blog. It’s refreshing to unwind after work to release all those negative stresses at work. My work life remains at work. I don’t bring the negativities from the busy environment with me. Once I leave the building, my work mode is automatically switched off. I work to live and not the other way around. I’m... Read More

Woody Finally Arrived

As promised to update you once our Disney Woody toy for Akyn will arrive, I’m happy to let you know we finally received the package. Yey! The good reviews from the previous buyers were really true. Mon and I were both expecting the toy to be a little bit smaller like the photo provided but we were surprised receiving an actual sixteen inches delivery height of Woody. Their product description exactly matched with the actual item. I’ll provide the summary photo for the brief description of it from the merchant’s website. You can try to check with Lazada.ph or with... Read More

The Unknown Shopper

We maintain only one online account for our family to order anything online for easy monitoring. Yesterday, when I tried checking the account, my eyes widened and my mouth fell open seeing a pending order for a toy which I never requested. What stunned me more was the amount of the item ordered. "Who did this?" As alarmed as I was, I hurriedly checked the status of it. Thankfully the item was still pending for approval from the seller to be shipped. Goodness! I usually leave my phone with my Mama at home to supervise my toddler in watching Nursery... Read More

We Order He Pays

Since last month we were already planning to have a small gathering for Akyn’s third birthday this December. We’ve decided to celebrate my college friends mini Christmas reunion and my son’s birthday in one party. It’s just going to be a small party not a lavish one with my close friends and my family. Yey! I am more excited than the celebrant getting the suppliers for the party contacted ahead of time. Part of the preparation are the loot bags and the toys for the kids. Should I create another DIY loot container again or should I make use of the... Read More

She Is So Lucky

I’m starting to believe the stars are aligning in the universe making me a one lucky momma winning raffle tickets these past consecutive days. I’ve never tried getting my name picked for any raffle entries whenever I had the chance to participate. How I wish I could win those enticing prizes written on the tickets as major give away. I wouldn’t be choosy to claim for consolation prizes either. It’s just that luck wasn’t so nice to me not until this month. Mon received a text message from Dave’s Fun House in SM informing us that I won two gift... Read More

Footwear

I seldom shop for myself not unless I have something to use it for. When we are invited to a special occasion where I needed to dress up, that's when I am forced to shop for a new outfit. I also don't buy anything new if my old stuff are still working fine, just like my pair of shoes for my everyday usage at work. I'm not fond of changing shoes for my daily routine. Maybe I'm the lazy type of woman in terms of fashion who doesn't care of what's the hottest trend for as long as I am... Read More

First Christmas Tree

Because the BER month already started, we are also excited to start planning for our Christmas decorations at home. We are that eager to celebrate Christmas, aren’t we? Mon and I were lazily browsing some Christmas trees online trying to compare the designs and their respective prices when our toddler happily pointed his finger on the phone screen and was demanding the color of the product of his choice. “Buy Christmas Tweet ( Christmas Tree),” Akyn’s request while helping us decide which one to purchase. Few online merchants posted beautiful stocks on hand, however, as we read through the reviews,... Read More

Refusal To Receive Someone’s Trash

Aside from the fact that I was only granted with one day off which made me felt like I really didn’t have any rest day for the week, I also felt exhausted with this week’s task of finishing my required documents during my day off. Still thankful because I’m one step closer to my dream. I brought my son with me while doing all my errands. If you have a clingy baby who will always look for your presence when it’s your rest day, you will be left with no option but to bring your child with you to avoid... Read More

The Importance Of Play

It’s one of a difficult task for us working Mom’s in making sure our time between our career and our roles as a mother are both balanced. We can’t afford to sacrifice our motherly role to our kids just to satisfy the demands of our jobs and vice versa. If one of our obligations is compromised, it’s going to give us lots of stress to fulfill the gaps of our responsibilities. Perks of being a Super Momma! During our rest days, Mon and I will always find a bonding moment with our Akyn. Having a child doesn’t only mean providing him with his basic needs and... Read More

Gift Giving Ideas for Our Fathers

This post is sponsored by Gifts Less Ordinary but the content and opinion expressed here are my own. It’s one of the most challenging task I consider in looking for a perfect present for my husband, for my father or any male friends of mine. Unlike for ladies, where I can completely relate to those stuff which women would want to receive as a gift. There was one time, when it took me several hours searching for the best gift for one of my male friends during our work related gift giving activity. It was a waste of both my time... Read More
