Closing The Book For 2018

If someone will ask you on how you can describe your 2018, will you say it was such an amazing year for you or will it be the opposite of it? So many things happened for this year. It gave me an emotional roller coaster experience for the entire year. I had both the feelings of getting exhilarated with happiness and had also hit the bottom rock of life. I’m still grateful for my 2018 for I’ve learned so many things that I can keep forever. I managed to get up when I stumbled and had scraped my knees. It... Read More

Christmas Pool and Dinner Family Gathering

How was your Christmas celebration? I had one of the happiest, simple yet memorable. As agreed, we stayed in our house to celebrate the Holiday season. Yey! For the very first time, finally our little home was filled with happiness during the most joyful season of the year. We used to celebrate it in my parents home. I’m thankful everyone was happy about my suggestion. Because I am the host for tonight, I had to take charge of the preparation. My list for the grocery items were all prepared at the back of my head. Do you also do that... Read More

Family Manito Manita

We started our family Manito Manita on the second week of December and had everyone picked the names to whom they are going to give the gifts to. It’s a bit late when we started our Kris Kringle activity compared to the previous years. You know how the busy schedule of a working momma like me may sometimes leave other commitments missed unintentionally.☺ From six participants, we now have a total of seven Manitos/Manitas adding our newest member of the family, Eric. He is my sister’s boyfriend. Yay! The more, the merrier. After everyone had their assigned Santa Clause, next... Read More

Pain Attack

Not all bad things happen because they were meant to let people suffer. Rather, I've just realized these unfortunate circumstances occurred to open some doors for us to appreciate simple things in life that we can consider as priceless. A week ago, I was forced to stay at home to recover from my swollen left foot. The pain was so sudden the night before the pain attack leaving me unprepared to face it. I haven't slept well the whole evening suffering from the excruciating pain. Even the weight of my soft blanket touching my foot seemed already unbearable. The following... Read More

SM Seaside Cebu First Visit

The three of us finally decided to visit SM Seaside Cebu last Sunday after almost three years from the date when it opened. Yey! One down from our checklist. We kept on postponing our attempt to go there every time we had a chance to, simply because we felt lazy traveling. What a great excuse! Last weekends, our laziness turned into eagerness to have a family bonding. Another first time for us  to enjoy.☺ If you can notice my previous posts always talk about making the most of our family time that’s because new opportunities are knocking which may greatly... I’m A Scaredy Cat

Both the 1st and the 2nd day of November are my favorite days to watch TV since childhood. Why? Merely because I love getting scared watching horror films. Most of the shows on TV even the news are all themed for the Halloween. As they said happy hormones are released every time we are frightened. So that’s my excuse rationale on why I still crave to watch scary films though it sometimes provide me a disturbing fear after watching. Without any signs of fear or inhibition Mon courageously finished watching two movies. Amazing! I also survived completing the movie while... Read More

Spontaneity Of Unplanned Trips

We’ve decided to spend our Sunday by strolling around the city together with our baby boy. The only day we are always excited to come. Why? Because it’s solely the day when we are both free to spend quality time with our toddler. No work to worry about, no schedules plotted to comply, happy to say we got a complete FREEDOM for Sunday. Thank you Lord! Nothing specific was planned for our itinerary. All we were certain to do was to enjoy the day or to buy something for ourselves. This is something nice about unplanned trips which I find... Read More

Spice Up Your Marriage

I’ve read quite a few articles talking about a successful marriage but never did I come across with a literature stating marriage is an instant perfection of a union to those who were lucky to find the right partner. Creating a mini-paradise experience of being together requires a lot of effort. Effort to make things work with the diversity of two cultures merged into one. It needs the willingness to compromise with each difference of beliefs. It’s more about agreeing to disagree in some aspects. I find it hard to adjust to this concept before because I used to believe... Read More

My Hometown

My heart is in deep sorrow when I knew about the landslide in my hometown yesterday, the 20th of September 2018 . Before the incident, I received a reminder at work from one random elderly woman who said “Do me one favor.” “Please tell your family how much you love them because you will never know how much time you have left for them.” Then after a few minutes from that, the devastating landslide happened claiming several lives. It was like a bad omen of something bad is about to occur. I immediately checked the location online while at work.  I’m... Read More

Floating Charge

I thought I was going to have an uneventful Sunday but something came up making my weekend a bit stressed. I'm still wanting to enjoy the lazy bedroom feeling of my day off at home with my family where we were free to wake up anytime without rushing to avoid getting late. How I wish I could extend my day off until today.☺ So what exactly happened last Sunday? We went grocery shopping in SM Hypermarket Lapu Lapu and upon making the payment like any usual routine, I handed my credit card to the cashier. Both my cards from RCBC and Citibank had no... Bestie’s Wedding

Never had I imagined I’m going to feel so emotionally happy seeing my bestie finally walking down the aisle wearing her white wedding gown. I’ve known Florisa since college and from that moment until now she remained exactly the same jolly person I’ve ever known. Seldom when friendship can last for more than seven years. Ours is about a decade now. Yey! If you have found one, treasure it because you’re blessed to have it.   We were called Tres Marias(Carel, Michelle and Florisa) way back in college. We used to wear the same designs of clothes during parties, met... Read More

Apprehensions

I felt emotionally disturbed these past few days because of my exam. Anxiety was taking over my normal daily functioning making me forget some of my daily routines. There was one point when I was talking to a colleague and in the middle of the conversation, I found myself having difficulty remembering her name. My sister also had requested a favor for me to take out some cash using her ATM card last week. I managed to get the task completely done but totally forgot to return the card. She ended up with no card for almost two weeks. Furthermore,... Read More

Why I Chose to Marry

10552451_10202166001905704_8946100383123947962_n.jpg
People have different convictions when it comes to getting married or living the single life with no commitment set by the church or by the state law. Others may view Marriage as a MUST before couples can be allowed to live together as part of their cultural creed. While some consider it as another set of worries to get engaged with. So many opinions revolving about the holy matrimony. The question is, what does the Lord say about what Marriage really is? Marriage is a sanctified intimate union between a man and woman in which the two becomes one physically.... Read More

Dating Lovebirds

Monthsary celebration is becoming not that special to us as compared to those days before we got married. I don’t know, maybe because we were both preoccupied with our everyday responsibilities making us forget those special moments. It was like a mortal sin before if one of us will fail to remember our Monthsary during our younger years (college sweethearts). Who can relate to this? Lol. Our Wedding Anniversary though is an exception! We always find time to celebrate our wedding anniversaries. Who wouldn’t want to celebrate one of the happiest event of being married? It doesn’t need to be... Read More

Daisy Our Beautiful Flower

A devastating news hit our family when one of my sister’s co-teacher turned into her closest friend and eventually became like a family member to us met a vehicular accident yesterday. We’ve been praying for her recovery, however, her sustained injuries were too serious making her body to finally give up. It’s one of the most hurtful events I never and will never be ready to face. I’m scared to even discuss about death and imagining being left by the people I love. When I heard it from sister, I tried my best to control my lacrimal glands from getting... Read More

I Am A Mother

“You’ve received the greatest gift of being a woman, and that is to become a mother.” I got this compliment from a nurse on duty just after a few hours I gave birth to my only son. It was a blessing which I could never have imagined the unique happiness motherhood can give me. This day marks another year for us mothers to celebrate our special day of giving life to another beautiful soul. It’s an honor to be called a Mommy. Why? Simply because being a Mom requires a lot of self-sacrifice to the point of sometimes exhausting our own... Read More
