Our Angel

It’s been three years for this month since we lost our supposed to be first baby at 12 weeks. It was the 4th day of December of 2014 when we had experienced the saddest part in our married life. The memory of it is impossible for me to forget. Every time this day of the year will come, I feel teary and gloomy thinking about our angel. We announced my pregnancy upon hearing the heartbeat during my second ultrasound thinking we were in the clear. I’ve shared my detailed struggles about the tragic event here. The day came when the heartbeat... Read More

Three Decades

Imagine when you’re writing a story and you’re almost done finishing the end part of your novel, suddenly you decided to stop and discard everything that you’ve started because you think nobody’s interested with your piece. After a few minutes, you’ll try to make another story again and the cycle continues. That’s what I am feeling as of the moment, cancelling all my plans for my weekends and creating another plan again. I was a bit exhilarated to celebrate one of the days I think is special to me. I’ve been planning several preparations to enjoy it since the first... Read More

For The Broken Hearted

“Mich, have you tried being broken hearted?” A question that totally caught my attention when a colleague of mine asked me this morning. I answered her question with a direct yes. It’s been a while, I should say when I had my heart broken before my path crossed with my husband. It’s a devastating pain which most of us can relate to, not unless you’re love story is as perfect as compared to a fairytale love. Being engaged in a romantic love is one of the sweetest feeling and can be incredibly mystical especially during the very first stage of... Read More

My Humor Veteran At Home

Whenever I feel so exhausted with the unexplainable gloomy mood, my child will always come to rescue me. He is my natural clown at home. Not much of an effort needed to make me smile by simply staring at him. His innocence to things brought us so much pleasure. He can’t completely utter a full sentence yet to convey his message, but by just simply observing his non verbal cues is more than enough to understand what he actually means. There were instances when he tried making his own vocabulary to things like for example, he calls the stairs as... Read More

When I Answered Pardon?

The emotional roller coaster game didn’t end after passing the IELTS exam for I have to undergo several tests and more documents to comply. What’s next after the English test? Well, I have to submit myself for another anxiety provoking employer interview. How can I work in the United Kingdom if I don’t have any employer who will hire me, right? I was again too nervous with sweaty hands as cold as ice, knees trembling and my heart rate was beating faster than normal. Those were my normal physical responses when I am tensed. I am confident I can relate... Read More

My English Exam

It took me a while before I finally posted this entry. I promised to myself that I am not going to post anything not unless my application for working in the UK as a registered nurse is successful. I’ve been waiting for this moment to finally say, I MADE IT TO GO TO THE UK. My journey in applying as a registered nurse abroad wasn’t an easy experience at all. I had to submit myself to several examinations and the cost for each test wasn’t cheap. I really needed to save up to pay for them. No shopping, no luxury... Read More

When She Prays

During my childhood years, I used to pray the memorized type of prayers, ”Angel of God”, thinking it was the only prayer designed for children to communicate with Him. As I advanced my age, I soon realized what I’ve been practicing wasn’t accurate. Prayers can be in any form. We can all create our own spontaneous prayers without following any script as long as it’s sincerely made. Thanks to my Catholic Catechist for correcting it and teaching me more about what an effective prayer should be. God is so lenient when it comes to allowing us to connect with Him.... Read More

Friday The Thirteenth

It is thought to be an unlucky day if the 13th day of the month falls on a Friday. It’s one of the silly superstitious belief  which many are still affected with fear for this day. I would be very honest I was also part of those who feels agitated on Friday the 13th. I couldn’t provide any exact rationale about my fear of the unknown, maybe because a lot of people think it’s a cursed day, so, I also automatically assumed it holds true to everyone. Today, the second Friday the 13th of 2017, is the scheduled releasing day... Read More

Inclination To Writing

Today, I received a notebook from my sister as her gift. Yippee! This has always been my request from her whenever she’ll asked me on what I like to receive from her. I have so much fascination to paper products because of my inclination to write. When I was in grade school, I could remember collecting paper scented stationery. I used them in sending snail mail letters to my cousins and friends (crushes lol). Mobile Phones weren’t available during my childhood years but I am grateful for experiencing the old traditional method of communication. Generations of today are presented with several... Read More

About Last Week

I had an exhilarating series of events last week when I was about to undergo something  I am both excited and scared to face. Excited to finally reach the point where I am almost reaching the success I have been waiting for, and at the same scared about the possibility of failing my own expectations for myself. When your emotions are too overwhelming, it will really manifest physically. A week prior to the said date, I could feel my hands were cold and sweating, I felt too emotional and I could burst into tears anytime especially when I am alone. I was... Read More

To The Living Superheroes In School

My Facebook newsfeeds for yesterday were mostly about giving recognition to the teachers significant role in our lives. It’s a noble profession that deserves respect and appreciation not just during Teacher’s day. We can’t be what we are now without them and that’s a fact. I can see how exhausting their work demands at some point. I’m quite aware of it because we have a grade school teacher at home, my sister. Almost everyday, I can see how busy she is in preparing for her lessons for the kids for the next class schedule. She is working in a public... Read More

When You’re A Mrs And They Call You Miss

The traffic congestion is getting terrible here in Cebu which made it quite a hassle in traveling to the office. This made me realize how tough it is to earn money for I have to endure all these difficulties in reporting to work. (sigh) Traffic jam is beyond my control, so let's focus instead to something we can control which I’ll be sharing with you on this post. My mood today is the exact opposite of how terrible the condition of the traffic is. I was submitting some forms to complete my documents required by the private institution. There was this part... My Heartwarming Reasons To Be Thankful For My Husband

I spent half of my one day off last week sleeping. I was so exhausted with my workload. I am not complaining about it for I am still thankful that I have a decent job to help me generate income for my family. For my last work commitment, I rendered 16 hours duty for one shift as required. I enjoyed my shift in performing my duties of course. What’s with the terrific work schedule then that I need to talk about on this post? I’m certain others may have more toxic job than I do. Well, it’s not about my... Read More

Being Wise When It Comes To Friendship

With the dramatic rise of social media nowadays, making friends and mingling with others is made much more easier. Like Facebook, for example, it allows you to add more people all across the globe with just one click of your mouse or one tap of your fingers on your mobile screen. Once a friend request is confirmed, Facebook will automatically label you as FRIENDS. But my question is, how deep is that so called friendship you have online? I am quite astonished as some of my friends can reach up to how many thousands of friends online. I have nothing... Read More

Everything Has An End

Have you ever asked what makes life valuable on earth? Why is it so important for us to find the meaning of why we exist and enjoy our lives to the fullest?
