Pilipinas Vacation 2023 Part 1

After three years we finally made it realized to visit back home in Cebu again. Too many things happened within my three years stay as an OFW in the UK. To mention the unexpected Covid 19 pandemic hit followed by the strict protocols in travelling especially in going out of the country. It made it very tedious to travel. I missed home every passing day and this moment shown in the photo is my most awaited day to set my feet back to my hometown. The feeling is still so fresh of how much I am so eager to get... 1st Place Hornsea Music Festival

Akyn attended another opportunity for him to enhance his love for music last seventh of July in Hornsea Music Festival of 2023. Weeks before the event he spent more time to practice his piece. I've seen his dedication to his piano lessons at a very young age. He always look forward when his piano teacher arrives. This is what we wanted as parents to support him on the field he is interested with and not to force him just because we wanted him to do it. We felt like we are punishing our child if it is us who will... Read More

Brand New Floors

Hey pretties. I'm here again blogging something exciting. It's my rest day. Thank God for the day off freedom from stress.🤣 I've done all my house chores so rather than waiting for next week for my usual blog posting schedule, why not do it now whilst I got a bit of free time to release all my thoughts into writing. The most exciting part of being an independent working adult(LOL) is the freedom to decide what to do with your living space. Yeah, this addicted Momma to making everything aesthetically pleasing is on the move again for another house renovation project.... Read More

Father’s Day 2023 New Car Baby

He's Father's day gift came four days earlier! I don't think Mon would mind the timing of getting his present if he's receiving what he's been wishing for. Toys for big boys quote is the classic example of this blessing. Thanks dear Lord for granting us another family grace.🧡 When we started our journey here as an immigrant, we already aimed in one of our long term goals for Mon to pass their required exams to drive. It's one of the struggles of an immigrant because it is a must to conform to their laws, pass their tests and do... Read More

Term Break in York

When it's term break, Akyn often requests to go somewhere away from home. It must be boring to spend the whole week with the same routine everyday for him wanting to get a trip even for just a day. This Momma was off at least a day on a weekend so might as well grab it. Spontaneous travel escapade happened again. I wanted to visit Leeds initially for us to visit Miniso and buy some new toys for the both of us (LOL)😂 but then I changed it to York so Akyn can explore the historical city. Mon works in... Carpet and Wood Floor Change

I was browsing through my website prior to starting this blog post to do some minor changes to some entries and then I ended up reading again the old write up I did. It made me reminisce the exact event I have written and woken up the feelings I had on those events. Words are really powerful to bring back our memories, so use it well when you can.😍 For today's blog my main meat is all about our carpet update journey we did to our stairs and bedrooms. Overall experience was tiring especially the moving of furniture and cleaning... Read More

UK Major Bathroom Renovation

I'm so thrilled to share how my new bathroom looks like after the renovation. I have just finished cleaning the house, yet here I am already sitting trying to put all my words together to come up with a blog post about our newest renovated part of our home. It's our first time having to go with one big renovation in our UK house. With the fact that we don't know anyone else in this country as to whom we can trust regarding the changes we wanted to achieve in our home, having it done successfully with my chosen bathroom... UK Celebrates Mother’s Day 23

UK celebrated the Mother's Day yesterday which was different from the month we usually celebrate in the Philippines. Back home, we follow the American dates, celebrating Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May. Whatever month it is celebrated, it still aims the same thing and that's to appreciate the hard work with love given to us by all the mothers in the world.😍 How did you celebrate your special day Pretty Mommas? For me, I had a blast. I asked Mon if he would be more than glad to let me choose the place to spend it. Without much... Read More

Life Update First Q 2023

The first quarter of 2023 is almost finished. How fast the days went! I've also had reached my fourth year of stay in this country. Yay! Happy fourth to us as an immigrant. Is it a big deal surviving this long to stay in a country with completely different culture from us? Of course, it ain't easy adapting to everything new. Coming here with only a suitcase full of clothes leaving everything we've started back home because we wanted change to happen to our professional growth is something I will always be thankful I decided to take the risk. It... Read More

Moonlight Piece First Place Piano Competition

We are all still feeling very elated after Akyn's performance last Saturday when he joined a piano competition in Cottingham. Mon and I are so proud of our baby's effort to overcome his fear of performing in front of a huge crowd. Almost everyone has that fear even me as a grown up I would be petrified to be on the spot. How much more for a seven year old boy! The night before Akyn's performance, he expressed how scared he would be for the next day and we, as the parents could at least offer our words of encouragement... Read More

January Home Decor

Went to one of the shops with my boy after his class and one of the store clerk asked, "Are you Espanyol?" Responded with a brief answer, "I am not Spanish!". He continued, "Are you Nihao, then?" I am not certain if I should laugh with the question or get irritated with it because nihao isn't even a nationality at all. I took my change from what I bought, told him, "I AM A FILIPINO!'' I've been in this country for almost four years now and yet, I still feel Filipinos are part of the invisible group with little information... Read More

Akyn’s 7th Birthday

It's been a few days since I had shared another blog post for my Akynfullhouse website. The holiday season for me has been extremely busy, not just because of being a working mother but also due to my other extra activities or tasks I needed to prepare for December. My Akyn's seventh birthday was one of my top priorities of my to do list. I did ask Akyn on how he wanted to celebrate his birthday if he wanted us to do the normal family travel get away we do during special events or if he prefers to throw a... Read More

Early Christmas Surprise From Akyn

Christmas is in the air both literally and figuratively with the minus two degrees temperature and the trees covered with ice, oh yes it is definitely the holiday season. Akyn gave us an early Christmas gift yesterday with his amazing act of bravery to overcome his fears every time he needs to perform in front of the crowd. I still get petrified with public speaking if I'll be ask to do one. How much more for a six year old boy? He showed me this little house with sweets and said that he was so happy with himself for getting... Read More

In Liverpool Day 2

As planned, here's the second part of our trip to Liverpool. Traveling doesn't only mean ticking the box of accomplished places we've visited but it's our own way of gaining our energy back from the stressful adulting life. So thankful to my friends' suggestions as to where to visit next here in the UK. Everyday is an opportunity to discover more about this county. I'm always excited to visit new places with my family especially if I know shopping is very much recommended to the nearby big shops of the area. LOL😁 I'll start my blog with my travel OOTD.... My Birthday in Liverpool Day 1

I was contemplating on how would I celebrate my birthday few weeks ago and Mon said to me, "Celebrate it the way you wanted!" Well, that would mean another family travel is going to happen because my top likes on the list on special event is really to travel and shop with my family. I love to spend our alone time together in going to places we've never been to. It's not like we don't want our friend's company to join with us but it's more of a moment to remember as a family getaway. If you don't get what... Read More

New Mobile Legends Playmate

I was in the other room when I heard Mon and Akyn talking like they were planning an attack to someone's base. When I checked them on what made them so busy and noisy😒,they were actually playing an online game called Mobile Legends. A satisfying view seeing Mon finally got his little playmate for his online gaming obsession. "Just follow my lead Akyn when I say you use your power then attack!" "Daddy an enemy has been slain!" I can't relate to the enjoynment of what they were both up to. I tried playing once with Akyn but I always... Read More
