I have been blogging since 2017 and I have just noticed I’m so much into using photo narrative method to tell my story. The fact that I love to take photos every family trip makes it easier for me to create a story out of it. Although sometimes, I used my blog to express my sentiments without using any relevant photos at all but that only happens once in a blue moon.(LOL)🤣It only goes to show blogging serves as my therapy to lighten up my emotions when things seem to get too overwhelming for me pretty Mommas. What’s your own way to cope ladies?
Anyway, this post is the continuation of our previous Scotland getaway as a family during this school summer break. Started the day with our breakfast buffet as part of the accommodation package we booked. It’s quite convenient to have the breakfast included because we didn’t need to rush and find any early food store open prior to starting our day.
Our first task is to find the nearest car park in Edinburgh to leave our Klaus( name we gave to our Toyota CHR)LOL🤣.Got the name from one of the casts of Vampire Diaries, Klaus the original vampire. Then started walking around the city to find the places we wanted to visit.
We were supposed to visit the People’s Story Museum but they were closed that day. Bummer! Walked further more and we found a little garden hidden nearby.
These two had to take this obligatory pose before going to the garden. Holding hands while walking.(HHWW).😂
Started the photoshoot of course here in the Dunbars Close Garden. We love any type of garden especially our Akyn who likes plants. It is so relaxing to enjoy walking and appreciating nature.
After strolling around the mini garden, walked straight ahead to the Holyrood Palace.
I thought it was part of the British Heritage for us to save the entrance fee but no. We registered our family with the British Heritage membership that would allows us to visit the places included in the British Heritage for free. It’s a great way to save for families like us who likes to travel a lot.
So, yes we paid for the entrance fee this time. The Palace was absolutely massive. Photos are only allowed outside the castle. We were given a headphone to use whilst touring inside to listen to the narrative history of each section. A very informative method to learn more about the history of Scotland. Akyn learned a lot about their Kings and Queens. I would highly recommend it for a family visit.
The weather was cooperating with us during this day. Lovely Mr Sunshine brightened up our travel.💕
The surrounding place is very well maintained, too.
Went to get our lunch after visiting the palace and ate within the city area then went to Museum of Edinburgh.
This time the visit was for free.Gorgeous!
Few photos taken before going to Leith Shore.
Our travel won’t be complete without getting my hands to buy some souvenirs from our trip. I love to collect fridge magnet of every new locations we’ve been.
It’s a beautiful reminder of the happy travel we had as a family. Cheers to more adventures to come Pretty Momma.❤️
