London Day One Escapade

I got quite a few post to make for this month and all of them are still pending for completion. Maybe this cold weather is making my writing mode slower than it used to be. Looking forward for the warmer season or should I say excited to go home to my tropical country in a couple of calendar flips from now. Yay! See you Cebu. This post is the continuation of my previous post of our London do-it-your-own tour. After all the troubles of our accommodation has been settled we started our trip right away. It felt like we needed... Read More

Airbnb To The Rescue-London Day 1

As early as one in the morning we already started preparing ourselves for our morning travel to London. We chose this so we can maximize our time in visiting all our target places to view within the short duration of our time off from the reality. You know what pretty mommas, I've proven to myself after my trip that having a break from everyday work would help us recharge our tired selves. We should do this often, I greatly suggest. (wink). Stop being too workaholic Mich! How was the travel during the wee hours? Surely bitterly cold with only the... Read More

Nottingham First Travel Experience

In my nine months of stay here I've never tried travelling alone out from Hull simply because I felt terrified in going to new places without anyone else with me. What if I'll get lost and wouldn't find my way home? What if something bad will happen and nobody's there to help me? What if, what if, what if... Too many apprehensions of conquering my fear to explore the world out there. What exactly pushed me to try the feeling of a solo traveler? Decided to face my fright because of my desire to do something memorable for my first... Read More

Miss Independent

This month was welcomed with prolonged spell of wet weather. Ugrrh! I don't like it when I am about to go on duty because it makes me feel so lazy to get my beautiful behind out of bed. Waking up to work early in the morning is like a love and hate relationship for me. I do love reporting on duty but I super dislike waking up early on a freezing morning. My muscles are shaking uncontrollably to maximize my body heat left from snuggling comfortably under my thick duvet. I am not a morning person. I preferably function during... Read More

Paint It Own It

We are heading to almost half of November and in about six to five weeks Christmas is coming. I am deeply amazed on how fast the calendar flips everyday. Haven't even noticed it. Has anything changed in our lives from January up to the current date, be it a drastic difference or a little deviation from the normal life we have? There must be, right? If there's none, consider it alarming to waste the entire year of doing nothing. Dreams will never get realized when no effort is done to make it into a reality. The weather here is getting... Collections of Fear

Wondered how the 31st of October is celebrated here. Will there be fancy costumes of children knocking door to door asking for sweets? Shall I see jack o'lantern just like in American type of Halloween celebration? Excited to tell you, I did witness all of these in my DREAMS because I was asleep all day coming from a night shift duty. Looser! This is one of my favorite time of the year for there will be lots of horror films to watch on TV starting from the news segment featuring real ghost stories to the midnight program. I love horror... Ignore

My straight six days of duty finally came to an end. How did I manage to survive getting knackered for that long? Dear me! If you love your job, an exhausting day can turn into something productive with lessons left for you to ponder. Bow! Excited to spend my time off duties because I now got the freedom to update my blog in writing something I've been itching about to voice out. Is it really that interesting to share? For me yeah it is especially to those who love to write in bed using their laptop. Please say hi to... Read More

Hull Fair

One of the best places to visit when you wanted to relieve stress is to pay round to see a theme park. It's suitable for both kids and to us who are still a child at heart. 😄 It's my first time to experience what the locals call as Hull Fair. A yearly tradition of a travelling funfair coming to Kingston upon Hull with lots of rides, games, food and souvenirs to enjoy. God thank you! I surely had a good time visiting it for about three times in its one week of stay here together with different set of... Read More

It’s Cold

It's still autumn here but the coldness of the weather feels like winter. This chilly season never fails to give me a morning struggle to go out of bed especially when I am scheduled to report on duty and I have to convince my bum to get up but I refused to because the weather is so conducive for a bedbound mode with Glassgow Coma Scale of three. The struggle is real pretty mommas! 😪 I'm always having a headache early in the morning in going to work because I usually go out of the house with wet hair which... Read More

Rudeness

Staying in the UK for about seven months taught me a lot of lessons especially when it comes to being sensitive in speaking. That's one of the reasons why this country is considered to be one of the best places to practice nursing because most of the patients are kind and sweet to their care providers with the way they communicate with us. Saying please, thank you and sorry is becoming part of my system and hearing someone without these magic words would easily irritate my ears. I'll share to you a story about my recent not so pleasant encounter... Read More

Do It Yourself

Wake me up when September ends. Have you heard of this song? Quite popular before, yeah. This month is about to end. Gosh! I'm running out of breath catching up with how time moves so fast. I must be too preoccupied not minding the quick flipping of my calendar. Believe it or not I am about to celebrate my first monthsary of stay in my flat. Yay! Every month's target of mine is to continuously improve my place by completing each bits and bobs needed to make it feel homey. Do you do that as well in your house? You... Read More

Deja Vu

Have you experienced what they call as Deja vu which means you have already lived through the present situation or an already seen event?👻 While sorting out my things in my room to arrange it when I moved in, I took a photo of my bed. I felt then like I've seen this in the past I just couldnt figure out where? Later during the night, finally I got to remember it. It was one of my childhood dreams. Used to live in my grandparents ancestral house and you know how an old Filipino-Spanish house would look like with brick... Read More

Burn Your Passion

Hola sunny day for me on my only rest day in between hospital duty days. Time to slow down a bit and enjoy my non stressful day. What do you normally do when it's your day off? Usually I don't have any strict schedule to follow. However, it's always a part of my day to never forget my blog. Apart from the fact that this site is a part of my routine, it also became an important piece of my LIFE. It's like an outlet of myself to voice out all my unspoken opinion, a written documentation of my everyday... Read More

Free Prints

It took me thirty minutes thinking on how to start this blog post. Am I still feeling groggy with my yesterday's duty? Maybe! While preparing the intravenous fluid for my patient, he asked me how's my day. Candidly replied,"I'm swamped." To my surprise he gave me a statement I never expected from him,"Of course because you are a NURSE." "You are expected to be busy all the time. Ended the conversation with a smile. I can't find a better rebuttal speech to his on point assertion. You got to have the heart to care for you to stay on this... Read More

My Lair

The featured photos used in this blog were probably the last shots I took in my old accomodation. Did I miss it? Partly yeah but my happiness of finally getting myself out from Saint Matthews outweighs whatever sentimental emotions I may have with my white room. Those unpleasant encounters with my old accomodation served as a good riddance for without it I won't be forced to find a flat to live by my own. Yes, you've read it right pretty Mommas. I am now settling well staying in my place I call as my personalized hideout. Just me with nobody... Read More

Cebu Safari and Adventure Park

Two years ago, I've been looking forward to be present in all of my Akyn's school activities. Wanted to do school supply shopping with him, excited to participate and watch him perform during school programs, pick him up from school, be his personal tutor and the list continues. Who would have thought an opportunity like this to pursue my profession would unexpectedly knock into my peaceful mommy life which changed everything I've already planned for. But I'm more than grateful for this sudden twist of fate of mine. Last weekend was my Akyn's first field trip activity. Another missed event... Read More
