I’m A Scaredy Cat

Both the 1st and the 2nd day of November are my favorite days to watch TV since childhood. Why? Merely because I love getting scared watching horror films. Most of the shows on TV even the news are all themed for the Halloween. As they said happy hormones are released every time we are frightened. So that’s my excuse rationale on why I still crave to watch scary films though it sometimes provide me a disturbing fear after watching. Without any signs of fear or inhibition Mon courageously finished watching two movies. Amazing! I also survived completing the movie while... Read More

Spontaneity Of Unplanned Trips

We’ve decided to spend our Sunday by strolling around the city together with our baby boy. The only day we are always excited to come. Why? Because it’s solely the day when we are both free to spend quality time with our toddler. No work to worry about, no schedules plotted to comply, happy to say we got a complete FREEDOM for Sunday. Thank you Lord! Nothing specific was planned for our itinerary. All we were certain to do was to enjoy the day or to buy something for ourselves. This is something nice about unplanned trips which I find... Read More

The Unknown Shopper

We maintain only one online account for our family to order anything online for easy monitoring. Yesterday, when I tried checking the account, my eyes widened and my mouth fell open seeing a pending order for a toy which I never requested. What stunned me more was the amount of the item ordered. "Who did this?" As alarmed as I was, I hurriedly checked the status of it. Thankfully the item was still pending for approval from the seller to be shipped. Goodness! I usually leave my phone with my Mama at home to supervise my toddler in watching Nursery... Read More

We Order He Pays

Since last month we were already planning to have a small gathering for Akyn’s third birthday this December. We’ve decided to celebrate my college friends mini Christmas reunion and my son’s birthday in one party. It’s just going to be a small party not a lavish one with my close friends and my family. Yey! I am more excited than the celebrant getting the suppliers for the party contacted ahead of time. Part of the preparation are the loot bags and the toys for the kids. Should I create another DIY loot container again or should I make use of the... Read More

She Is So Lucky

I’m starting to believe the stars are aligning in the universe making me a one lucky momma winning raffle tickets these past consecutive days. I’ve never tried getting my name picked for any raffle entries whenever I had the chance to participate. How I wish I could win those enticing prizes written on the tickets as major give away. I wouldn’t be choosy to claim for consolation prizes either. It’s just that luck wasn’t so nice to me not until this month. Mon received a text message from Dave’s Fun House in SM informing us that I won two gift... Read More

Parenting Experience With My Baby Boy

We had a discussion with my friends about the difference of being a parent to a baby girl versus having a baby boy. In my case, as a first time mom to my son, I can only share to them how sweet is the mother and son relationship and my journey of parenting a baby boy . I’m also a bit curious on how it would feel to have a little me. For sure having a baby girl will also be a wonderful experience. They are both beautiful gifts to us moms. Having a son who is so sweet makes... Read More

In Sickness And In Health

Mon wasn’t feeling well this past few days and so am I. I think it’s pretty normal to be emotionally affected if a family member is ill or having any challenges in whatever aspect. How much more if it’s your spouse? It’s too taxing, right? He’s a bit better now though. Thanks God! My wife loving abilities is always put into test in times like this. Phew! He sent me a text message last Saturday that says, His words never failed to give me a romantic excitement as a response to it. Ayee!♥ I never expected him to express how... Read More

Papa’s Birthday

I asked my Papa about his plans for his birthday a few weeks ago. It is so fortunate his special day fell on a Sunday which would mean a rest day for all of us. We can be together to celebrate it as a family. Gave him options to choose whether he wanted to have a family dinner buffet, a beach family trip, a cooking day with me at home or a treat to shop what he liked to purchase for himself. It’s only a once a year celebration for me to treat him. What a great opportunity for us... Read More

The Negative Sign

We finally made up our mind to request for a change of  our broadband/landline  provider two months ago because of some problems with the intermittent interruption with the service. Almost every two weeks our internet connection wasn’t working due to  stolen cable wires. I would understand it was not the fault of the telecommunication company, however, I also don’t think that it should be the customer who  shall  suffer the consequence. So, this must the end of our almost six years relationship with my broadband provider. Everything has an end! ☺Lol. The conversation with them went smoothly when I requested for... Read More

Witty Toddler Conversation

I am trying to find ways to teach my child how to do some basic art work like coloring his newly bought coloring books using either crayons or his water color. I haven’t enrolled him to play groups just yet. Next year will still be our target for him to start going to school. Perfect time when he will be officially three years old. Excited! For our home activity, I drew a big fish in a white empty paper and gave him instructions to fill the inside portion of the fish with colors. He was so eager to apply his... Read More

Spice Up Your Marriage

I’ve read quite a few articles talking about a successful marriage but never did I come across with a literature stating marriage is an instant perfection of a union to those who were lucky to find the right partner. Creating a mini-paradise experience of being together requires a lot of effort. Effort to make things work with the diversity of two cultures merged into one. It needs the willingness to compromise with each difference of beliefs. It’s more about agreeing to disagree in some aspects. I find it hard to adjust to this concept before because I used to believe... Read More

Chloe’s First Birthday

First birthdays are always considered as special by most parents. Of course, it only happens once in our babies’ life and as much as possible, we wanted it to be remembered as a joyous celebration. Regardless of the cost, we are more than willing to spend for the occasion. I could remember during Akyn’s 1st birthday  where I was  so overwhelmed with the preparation  because I  took charge of all the planning of the details including the theme, venue and all the suppliers.  Thankfully, my family also helped me with the implementation of the DIY stuff. Goodness gracious! It wasn’t... Read More

Footwear

I seldom shop for myself not unless I have something to use it for. When we are invited to a special occasion where I needed to dress up, that's when I am forced to shop for a new outfit. I also don't buy anything new if my old stuff are still working fine, just like my pair of shoes for my everyday usage at work. I'm not fond of changing shoes for my daily routine. Maybe I'm the lazy type of woman in terms of fashion who doesn't care of what's the hottest trend for as long as I am... Read More

My Hometown

My heart is in deep sorrow when I knew about the landslide in my hometown yesterday, the 20th of September 2018 . Before the incident, I received a reminder at work from one random elderly woman who said “Do me one favor.” “Please tell your family how much you love them because you will never know how much time you have left for them.” Then after a few minutes from that, the devastating landslide happened claiming several lives. It was like a bad omen of something bad is about to occur. I immediately checked the location online while at work.  I’m... Read More

I Am Proud

I love bringing my toddler with me while processing all my necessary documents needed for the completion of my job requirements. It’s tiring carrying him most of the time (he hates doing long walks)while visiting several government offices but at the same time, he made our appointments less stressful. I would say he is my lucky charm in getting all my tasks accomplished. ☺ We were about to get another paperwork done this Monday with our last checklist item to finish. Yes, finally I’m almost there to complete them all! We rode a lift to get to the floor of... Read More
