I have never expected in my entire stay here in the UK that I will ever experience a surprise party from my friends for any occasion at all. I love organizing gifts and parties for others, though. It excites me to choose something special to people dear to me. Do you feel the happiness, too when you see their smiles upon receiving your presents?❤️❤️❤️
Last week, my Filipino ward friends planned for a get together BBQ in the garden hosted by one of my friends. On the day of the said date, I was busy doing my own groceries and thinking of what to bring. Waited for some updates from any of them but nobody seemed to send any messages. Didn’t bother to flood them with questions because few of them still came from duty. Thought they might still be sleeping, getting a rest after a tiring shift. An hour before the gathering, mustered some courage to asked as to what time they will be coming to the host’s house. Shocked that they were all there already. Strange, everyone meets up without any updates in the chats.(LOL) I just thought that might be the result of too much exhaustion from the hospital duty. Everyone must be knackered enough and didn’t bother sending messages. If you work in the hospital, you will understand how draining it feels every after shift!😂
Hurriedly went there and to my biggest surprise got greeted with their lovely set up. I was obviously too elated with my friends’ effort. Got these photos from them during the preparation stage. Thank you so much guys. This will be forever remembered as a beautiful part of my pregnancy journey. All your thoughtfulness made our little growing family very happy this evening. Thank you for the warmest welcome for our second baby boy happily growing inside my tummy.
Our grilled food all tastes divine. It’s a plus when your friends love to cook. I had to bring my ready to eat KFC chicken bucket.(LOL). When cooking is not my forte, take away meals will be my best friend in instances like this.🤣
Look how precious they made it all. It is so pretty.
Thank you to all my Beshies for the family photo.❤️
Our mini BBQ set up. We are taking advantage with the lovely weather. Not long when the gloomy UK weather will be here few weeks from now.❤️
The Filipino style of kebab is still my fave choice. Loved everything they prepared.
Our little Filipino group in our ward. It feels so nice every time we know one of us will be on the same shift. It sets the mood for a lovely shift. Plus we have someone to speak our dialect to.
My boys having fun during the night. There will be three boys in our family soon.❤️
Savoured the night with games and loads of laughter to remember. I am forever grateful my friends.
We had to wake up early the following day for our family Scotland adventure. It is our first time to visit Scotland. Travel more whilst you can because the opportunity for this special moment is once in a lifetime joy for our baby boy.💕
Hello to our handsome driver. It took us almost five hours drive from Hull to Scotland. It’s a necessity for a family here to get a car especially if you got kids. It gives us easy access to visit places without the need of worrying of finding a transportation to get there. Packed loads of snacks and bottled water for us to comfy enjoy the trip without getting hungry. I also bought pillows for Akyn and Me to cuddle when we feel sleepy. We only had to stop once for gas and a toilet break for the three of us.❤️
Upon arrival, we had our lunch in Nando’s situated near our hotel. It’s very convenient where we booked our accommodation because it is surrounded with loads of shops.
We booked our hotel in Hamilton. It’s cheaper compared to booking it in the major cities of Scotland like in Glasgow and Edinburgh. We visited those cities still the following days of our stay. It only took us like half an hour to an hour drive to those lovely destinations.
First day or arrival is to roam around the Hamilton City Centre.
Thank you for the lovely sunshine dear God during our stay. It was indeed a marvelous experience for these Cebuanos living in the UK.
Our accomodation in Scotland. Stay tuned for more blogs to follow for our entire Scotland travel.❤️
