York Travel Part 1

It’s the first day of our national lockdown here. How does it feel? Kind of the same situation during the first lockdown where non essential stores are close again like pubs, gyms and shopping centres. People are ask to stay at home more not unless going out for an important reason. Schools are still open though which would mean an everyday walk with my boy in going to school. We’re being vigilant in updating ourselves with the recent announcements from the government because every now and then new laws tend to be implemented unexpectedly. I do hope everyone is coping well at this moment. ❤️

Before the lockdown, we managed to make a quick visit in York and as promised that’s going to be the topic for today’s post. Arrived around one in the afternoon via train and immediately savored the beauty of York. Travelling was allowed here before the lockdown as long as you abide to the protocols of not more than six in your bubble, mask on, two meters apart from people not part of your bubble and handwashing frequently.

It was a chilly afternoon with rainshowers for an hour. However, Mr. Sun heard my Akyn’s plea for a nice afternoon so we could enjoy our lovely stroll together. Kid’s prayers will never go unheard, I suppose.

This is our first destination.

Autumn really makes the world more colorful because of the leaves covering the ground. I’m super thankful pretty Mommas of having the blessing of being together especially now during the pandemic. I felt settled knowing I got my family with me. I can see how they’re doing and we are all in to be each other’s support to face this difficult time.

There’s a fee for entrance into their museum so we didn’t bother coming in. Photoshoot outside the premises was already a splendid scenery anyway.

Look at the beautiful Autumn.

It rained for half an hour so we found this place as our temporary shelther whilst raining. It’s actually the door of the museum garden of York.

Random street shots in York City Centre.

I’m quite impressed with my little boy for not complain of getting tired despite the long walks we did throughout the entire day. Well, he was the most excited traveler amongst us. He’s been looking forward for our York trip a week prior to the scheduled date to be honest.

Went to The Shambles Street, a famous spot in Harry Potter movie, isn’t it?

Of course the Yorkshire Chocolate Story is one of my fave store now for sweets.

The Disney store is my Akyn’s top pick. No wonder baby you couldn’t wait to hop in and choose your toy. His excitement to shop is pretty obvious on this photo.

While the girls were busy checking some shops, my boys together with Lief as their photographer did some amazing pose down the streets.

York has plenty of museums to visit but with the Covid situation only few are open to public. What we did instead was to do some shots outside the building. We’re satisfied getting a glimpse of them.

This is called the Clifford Tower.

This one is called St. Mary’s Tower. The stairs are so narrow enough for one person only so when you want to go up or go down, you need to shout, “Going up or going down,” as it can’t allow access for two persons.

Akyn was in charge of shouting for our direction. Funny thing was instead of saying either going up or going down, my naughty boy shouted both. Like seriously, which one is which you peanut? Look at him posing like a pro. 😏

Our last stop was in Panda Mami for our dinner. I’ll have it on my next post pretties.

As they say if you think TRAVELLING is dangerous, try ROUTINE it’s lethal***Paul Coelho***

Have a lovely morning pretties.
