6th Year and Counting

One of my most awaited vacation leave for the year finally came. Plans of going anywhere far? Not really. Bound to stay at home for my almost a week of stay at home rest from my demanding job. Anything special? Absolutely yes! Yesterday marked our 6th wedding anniversary. Another milestone achieved for our marriage. Looking back, we were just a couple madly in love with our differences in many aspects who decided to agree to disagree and get our love be officially blessed by our Catholic religion. Through the years several storms we’ve managed to surpass though we both knew they were only a few of the many. From the tears of joy for every success to the strength of enduring failure, we’ve faced it with courage together. Still praying our relationship will get stronger even more.

For this year, it’s kind of more special because of the fact that it’s our first time celebrating it out of the Philippines. Who would have thought both of us will be working abroad allowing us to celebrate this memorable occasion in the UK. Life is really unpredictable!

What was Mon’s surprise for this year. I asked Mon for an oversized Teddy Bear. It was not entirely a surprise now knowing what kind of gift I’ll be receiving. (LOL) The thrill there was the design of the bear I think. I knew it was not only me who will love it but our little boy would be more than excited for sure. The package arrived earlier than expected. Yay! Didn’t open the box because I wanted to keep the excitement until the 28th when it should be opened.

The day arrived without even minding the time. I guess when you are too busy, you tend to loose count on the days, isn’t it? Please say hi to our Biggy Monzana. Got his name from his tag. Easy way of finding a name for our brown bear.

More cuddles from Akyn to Monzana.

Dinner spent with our close friend couple Michio and Lief. Thank you for this yummy present. A perfect pair for coffee. It was a lovely night full of laughter and stories that made us giggle. Not a lavish gathering really. However, it was indeed something unforgettable.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

This is just the beginning of a new chapter we will be spending here in the UK. We are looking forward for more adventures of love to come with Akyn with us now.
