UK Celebrates Mother’s Day 23

UK celebrated the Mother's Day yesterday which was different from the month we usually celebrate in the Philippines. Back home, we follow the American dates, celebrating Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May. Whatever month it is celebrated, it still aims the same thing and that's to appreciate the hard work with love given to us by all the mothers in the world.😍 How did you celebrate your special day Pretty Mommas? For me, I had a blast. I asked Mon if he would be more than glad to let me choose the place to spend it. Without much... Read More

Life Update First Q 2023

The first quarter of 2023 is almost finished. How fast the days went! I've also had reached my fourth year of stay in this country. Yay! Happy fourth to us as an immigrant. Is it a big deal surviving this long to stay in a country with completely different culture from us? Of course, it ain't easy adapting to everything new. Coming here with only a suitcase full of clothes leaving everything we've started back home because we wanted change to happen to our professional growth is something I will always be thankful I decided to take the risk. It... Read More

Moonlight Piece First Place Piano Competition

We are all still feeling very elated after Akyn's performance last Saturday when he joined a piano competition in Cottingham. Mon and I are so proud of our baby's effort to overcome his fear of performing in front of a huge crowd. Almost everyone has that fear even me as a grown up I would be petrified to be on the spot. How much more for a seven year old boy! The night before Akyn's performance, he expressed how scared he would be for the next day and we, as the parents could at least offer our words of encouragement... Read More

January Home Decor

Went to one of the shops with my boy after his class and one of the store clerk asked, "Are you Espanyol?" Responded with a brief answer, "I am not Spanish!". He continued, "Are you Nihao, then?" I am not certain if I should laugh with the question or get irritated with it because nihao isn't even a nationality at all. I took my change from what I bought, told him, "I AM A FILIPINO!'' I've been in this country for almost four years now and yet, I still feel Filipinos are part of the invisible group with little information... Read More

Akyn’s 7th Birthday

It's been a few days since I had shared another blog post for my Akynfullhouse website. The holiday season for me has been extremely busy, not just because of being a working mother but also due to my other extra activities or tasks I needed to prepare for December. My Akyn's seventh birthday was one of my top priorities of my to do list. I did ask Akyn on how he wanted to celebrate his birthday if he wanted us to do the normal family travel get away we do during special events or if he prefers to throw a... Read More

Early Christmas Surprise From Akyn

Christmas is in the air both literally and figuratively with the minus two degrees temperature and the trees covered with ice, oh yes it is definitely the holiday season. Akyn gave us an early Christmas gift yesterday with his amazing act of bravery to overcome his fears every time he needs to perform in front of the crowd. I still get petrified with public speaking if I'll be ask to do one. How much more for a six year old boy? He showed me this little house with sweets and said that he was so happy with himself for getting... Read More

In Liverpool Day 2

As planned, here's the second part of our trip to Liverpool. Traveling doesn't only mean ticking the box of accomplished places we've visited but it's our own way of gaining our energy back from the stressful adulting life. So thankful to my friends' suggestions as to where to visit next here in the UK. Everyday is an opportunity to discover more about this county. I'm always excited to visit new places with my family especially if I know shopping is very much recommended to the nearby big shops of the area. LOL😁 I'll start my blog with my travel OOTD.... My Birthday in Liverpool Day 1

I was contemplating on how would I celebrate my birthday few weeks ago and Mon said to me, "Celebrate it the way you wanted!" Well, that would mean another family travel is going to happen because my top likes on the list on special event is really to travel and shop with my family. I love to spend our alone time together in going to places we've never been to. It's not like we don't want our friend's company to join with us but it's more of a moment to remember as a family getaway. If you don't get what... Read More

New Mobile Legends Playmate

I was in the other room when I heard Mon and Akyn talking like they were planning an attack to someone's base. When I checked them on what made them so busy and noisy😒,they were actually playing an online game called Mobile Legends. A satisfying view seeing Mon finally got his little playmate for his online gaming obsession. "Just follow my lead Akyn when I say you use your power then attack!" "Daddy an enemy has been slain!" I can't relate to the enjoynment of what they were both up to. I tried playing once with Akyn but I always... Read More

My First Shein Order

Gloomy foggy day it is. We are getting nearer to the coldest season of the year in each passing day. Not an exciting season for me because I don't like coldness. I'm not like Elsa or Ana of the Frozen. LOL😂The weather might be cold but I still hope our hearts would remain the warmth needed to console each other's gloominess at times. 😍 This is one of the reasons why I super love my blog and my FB blog page as it's my venue to share my cordial personality to inspire others. Not letting anyone else dull our sparkles... Read More

Newest Obsession, My Happy Bubble

A calm Wednesday morning for me to start writing for my blog again. Hello pretty Mommas. Hope everyone is slaying their day like how a gorgeous momma should do. 😘 We were playing a card game this morning during breakfast by giving each other a card of prayer suited to whoever will get it. I gave Mon the card of work prayer as he is going to work from home today. For Akyn, he got the prayer of Wisdom before going to school and for me, Mon gave me the prayer for Forgiveness. I asked him, "To forgive who?" Then... Read More

Kitchen Renovation Deca Home

As early as nine in the morning, I received a phone call from a local number. I thought it was a genuinely important call since the area code showing didn't seem like a telemarketing calls with sales agent offering all sorts of products I'm not really interested. When I answered the phone, an automated message recording greeted me threatening me about tax evasion case filed againts me by the Home office. I've heard loads of cases of people falling to this kind of trick. Please be informed that Home office will never call to inform us of any tax discrepancy... Read More

Hobby Craft and The Range

A quite morning on a bank holiday. Good morning pretty Mommas! So thrilled to be off from a stressful worklife. LOL🤣🤣🤣 On a rest shift plus bank holiday is equivalent to a chill fam day to be together. We're planning to explore more shops later in the afternoon as the weather is quite gloomy to stay outdoor and play. A little cold with drizzling rain this morning made me realized that summer is slowly coming to an end. Noooooo! I ain't ready for colder seasons. Anyway, last weekend we did visit Hobby Craft with my Akyn. It's one of my... Read More

Primrose Valley Holiday Park Part 2

Second bit of our summer holiday blog post. How are you all pretty Mommas this morning? Hope everyone is still jolly to enjoy the lovely weather. I have finished my morning coffee routine that means I am good to start my day by publishing my blog post for this morning. Every holiday we do is a big thing for us not just because a list in our travel targets had been realized but merely because we had a happy moment to add to our family memory bank to treasure for the rest of our lives. When we reach our golden... Read More

Filey Beach

I took a quick rest after sorting out all our travel stuff and putting them back to where they needed to be at home. Yes, we've just arrived from our summer holiday and I can't wait for tomorrow to start blogging about it. So, I started my part one of the travel blog now. We've promised Akyn a holiday prize after he won his piano competition in Hornsea last July. We shouldn't break a promise to our child especially if it's a gift for something he worked hard to earn it. He requested to visit London again for the nth... Read More

Happy A Year Anniversary UK Home

This photo below is a year old as of today. We took this shot exactly the date when we moved in, the twenty third of July, our blissful summer. In the middle of packing and moving stuff from our rented place to our permanent home, we took this moment to smile, appreciate the biggest gift bestowed upon us and pose for a memorable picture to treasure forever. Who would have thought this blessing would come early? As a new immigrant from this country, we felt everything was moving so fast in its most beautiful way. I've got my family to... Read More
