Chicken Cordon Bleu-No Bake

Our home renovation project for my parents house ended yesterday. I can finally say, “IT’S OVER!” We’re free from all the stresses both physically and financially. It’s a tiring process but once you’ll see the end results of the changes, you’ll be happy and proud seeing the fruit of your hard work.

So, what’s the plan after finishing the job? Because I was exhausted, I got zero plans. Bummer!

I want to cook something that I haven’t tried before but I didn’t get the time to do some groceries. Good thing, we had some left over ingredients available. I experimented cooking Chicken Cordon Bleu, the no-bake method preparation. I got this recipe from my friend in the office.

Hi gorgeous Red, thank you for sharing this simple and easy to prepare dish. I’ll share to my blog readers too. (Sharing is Loving♥)

Here are the ingredients.

3 pieces of boneless chicken breast

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

 Thinly sliced ham

Slices of cheese

2 pieces raw egg

oil

teaspoon salt and pepper

There should be about ½ cup of flour as part of the ingredients, unfortunately I didn’t have any at home. Anyway, it still tasted delish without it as per my critics at home. It was raining like crazy yesterday and I had no choice but to cook whatever I had available.

Lets start cooking.

Place a piece of chicken breast in a flat surface and pound it to ¼ thickness. Sprinkle the meat in both sides with salt and pepper.

Top the chicken breast with ham slices followed by cheese. It’s up to you on how many strips of cheese you will add. You can add more if you’re a cheese lover like me.

Roll the chicken from one end to another. Even if how tight I did roll the meat, some of its part would unfasten. I used a toothpick to keep its end from rolling back.

Dip it in the egg. Chicken meat should be breaded in a ¼ flour first before dipping in the egg but because I didn’t have the flour, I skipped the process.

Coat the meat with bread crumbs by rolling them.

Refrigerate it for an hour or two.

You can now start frying the Chicken Roll until the meat turns golden brown.

Serve and fill your hungry tummies.
