Little Office DIY Project

The coolest thing for today is apart from I am at home doing my Me Time, I have already finished all my household chores awaiting completion yesterday. This would mean I am free to do my hobby to blog or perhaps I can read a couple of pages of Nicholas Spark’s entitled Dear John bought from one of my thrifting escapade I’ve been reading for a couple of weeks now or maybe, I can do a solo karaoke at home singing like nobody can hear. LOL😂 Nah, I’ll start with my blog today and we’ll see what will I want to do next, shall we?

I have a lot of updates to write with too many happy news to share. I am honestly overwhelmed with happiness because I am finally free from an environment that tortures my sanity. I will miss almost all of the people I worked with but sadly I got to choose which one is the best for my well being. I’ll blog more about it on my next post because I want to share in my akynfullhouse an important turn of events in my life. Stay tuned Pretty Mommas.

For today’s update is like a throwback of my previous week activity. Mon was off last Tuesday and so am I which made it possible for us to spend time together. We started by doing a morning jog in KCOM park. The weather was so lovely for me to say no to an outdoor activity. We did an alternate of running and walking for an hour enjoying the warmth of the sun with the cool breeze of the wind touching our sweaty face.  Exercising for me is not only for achieving a nice physical figure, for which I don’t have (LOL) but it actually helps me gain a happy disposition to start my day. This is my main aim why I want to get active, to enhance my mood. So, if you want to get those giggles out, let’s get started to get moving.

We took each of our pictures taking advantage of being alone for the moment.

After the short jog, I asked Mon if we could do my favorite thing to do, and that’s to go thirfting. Before going crazy hopping from one shop to the next, we tried one of the Bubble teas. He ordered matcha flavored whilst I got the regular pearl bubble tea. This drink is so perfect for this warmer season. I don’t mind still drinking this during winter though, because I’m a sucker when it comes to milk teas.

The main star for my thrifting haul are these pack of Winnie the Pooh and friends photo frames. I bet this was once used in a child’s bedroom decor. All three for two pounds. What a steal! I don’t intend to use the current cartoon display for these shall be use in our office room. I still kept the three pictures for my future DIY projects.

Most of my DIY projects at home were spontaneously done. For instance, this project was a product of my idle moment sitting in our office chair watching the ceiling. I was thinking of what to write one day when my eyes have seen the empty space just above the floating shelf in this photo. I said to myself, “I need to put something in this area.” Should I put random photos or could it be meaningful quotes to inspire Mon while working. I settled for the latter and here he is doing some Photoshop job editing his chosen words of wisdom.

Hello to my DIY implementer. I plan, he puts my plan into effect. This is what they call as teamwork. Rawr!

I’m so happy he agreed to use my Aristotle’s quote choice. He loves anything dealing about Philosophy as one of his majors in College. This saying is so inspiring to read over and over again while working, don’t you think?

While this reflects him being so devoted to our Catholic religion. As he is an Augustinian, he spent almost an hour looking for an Augustinian inspiration. Glad he found one.

I asked him who is Kent Beck? Apparently, he’s a well known American software developer that’s why he wanted to include his quote to be part of his office wall display.

The three of them reflects Mon’s being a Catholic, a software developer and a lover of Philosphy. I’m glad he so loved my idea of adding another DIY to his office. He’s thinking of finding a unqiue IT related photo to add to the other side of the wall.

Cheers to more home DIY to create with my cutest photobomber.🤣😂

  5. I love what you call thrifting, especially in old antique salvage yards. Great work on the inspirational wall. Those frames looked smaller with the cartoons in them, but on the wall, they look much larger.
