The Blogger Recognition Award

I felt so physically and emotionally burnt-out yesterday after my work. Maybe because of my cough and colds accompanied by all the stresses in the office (Tired Mama here). When I went home, I heard my phone beep for a notification. I checked it right away and saw one of my fellow bloggers, Vanessa, the author of Olivia’s New Life, who commented in one of my blog post. She nominated me for the Blogger Recognition Award. OMG, I can’t explain the happiness that I felt while reading her message! By the way guys, Vanessa writes exciting blog at http://www.oliviasnewlife.com. Please have... Read More

As they say that change is inevitable and it's the only permanent thing that will happen in this world. Some changes may give us excitement however a few aren't that welcome to push through. But one thing for sure, changes will definitely bring us to a new situation which will help us grow and shall give us another chapter in our lives to learn more lessons. By the end of July, a major change will take place at work for our new schedules as well as for our respective assignments. This would mean we will have a new manager to report to and reshuffling... We achieved another milestone in our marriage. Yey! Time really flies so fast. It was just as if yesterday when we both vowed in front of the altar during our wedding day and now after three years, we finally have our cute toddler with us. We have shared a lot of challenges and victories in a span of 3 years in our married life. We are both blessed to have found each other who are both willing to make our matrimony last for a lifetime. Trip to Dumaguete ( The City Tour 2nd Half)

After we roamed around the city for the first half of the day, we opted to eat our lunch first before returning back to the Gazebo Pension House. We visited the Robinson's Place, the largest shopping mall in Dumaguete,Negros Oriental and had our lunch there. We had a quick tour inside the mall and I was so delighted seeing Sans Rival Bistro, one of my top priorities to visit in my bucket list. This restaurant is known for their signature dessert, the famous Silvanas. It would be very hard for someone to resist its tempting sweetness. We wouldn't be able to... Read More

Trip to Dumaguete ( The City Tour 1st Half)

We arrived to Dumaguete at around 3 A.M but we left the boat and started looking for an accommodation at half past 5 in the morning. We rested in Gazebo Pension House, took a bath and planned our itinerary for the day before starting our exciting do it your own city tour. With the help of Google map, we were able to locate the tourist spots of the area without any hassle. Thank you to the modern technology of today's generation which makes travelling easier for everyone. Our first destination was to visit Saint Catherine of Alexandria Cathedral in Dumaguete. I... Trip To Dumaguete (Boat Experience)

It's been almost a year since the last time I traveled away from home to unwind from the stressful work environment. Aside from the cost of travelling, I also had to manage my time last year between my work schedule and my task of being a first time mom to my newborn. I would say last year was a year full packed of activities. I was exhausted both in preparing for my little boy's Christening and his first birthday party. Finally, I can now afford to squeeze in some time off request from work for this year. Hooray! My first... Read More

A Special Day For My Little Sissy

I consider myself blessed for having a sister to whom I can count as my best friend and my loyal confidant since we were young. We’ve been through a lot and we courageously managed to overcome all those struggles in life. She is always there when I badly need a companion to comfort me during my weakest. When I am celebrating a victory for an event, she’s my number one fan and my cheerleader. We aren’t a perfect sibling, we fight and get annoyed with each other’s differences, but at the end of the day, we’ve learned how to compromise for... Read More

Coachella Inspired Summer Company Party

One of the fringe benefits of being employed is experiencing lavish parties sponsored by the company where you are currently connected. I've just recently attended a social gathering funded by the firm. It was our summer party, a Coachella inspired party with a touch of bohemian design for the venue preparations. I was greatly impressed with the preparations arranged by the team assigned for the party setting. It was well thought and I love the colorful girly set-up too. The company chose Montebello Hotel as our venue and for the food caterer. It's known for its Spanish interior design. We had our Prenuptial shoot here... Read More

A Taste of My Favorite Korean Dishes

It was so ironic that last Friday was supposedly called as my rest day from work, however, it seemed like my day started full packed with schedules. I started my morning with a scheduled commitment as early as 9:00 AM travel time and arrived to my destination at around half past eleven in the morning, after 2 hours of getting stuck from a heavy traffic due to the unexpected rain. How terrible was that experience! I'm still thankful that the meeting was successful though I came late. After the first task of mine, I proceeded to my second engagement, the planned... Read More

Happy Mother’s Day

Hey beautiful Mommas, let’s celebrate our special day today. I want to greet all amazing Mommies a Happy Mother's Day to start my blog entry. We play an important role not just in our family but to the world. We add color and give life in everything we do for our loved ones. Our efforts deserve to be recognized. I will always be thankful and proud to be called a “Mother”. Today, a special woman in my life also deserves a recognition for her unselfish love to me. I want to say a big THANK YOU to my Mama who has always been... Read More

Easterrific Sunday 2017

My Easter Sunday started with a heavy rain followed by a terrible flood in going to the office. I tried different routes for me to arrive to my workplace but everything seemed to fail. I decided to head home and had informed my direct supervisor that I wouldn't be able to report to work for today. Who would want to report to work if you we're completely drenched by the rain and your shoes were soaked with muddy water? Anyway, let's focus on the positive event that happened today (April 16,2017). Last Thursday, Mon and I decided to let Akyn experience for... Read More

Reminiscing Our Big Day Preparation Journey

I would consider myself young for marrying at the age of 26 for a career woman like me. My friends were asking me if I was pregnant and speculating if that was the reason why I decided to tie a knot with Mon. Of course not! Mon and I were certain we were both destined to be together and there was no point of delaying the date of being an official Mr. and Mrs. Abilar. When we started planning to get married, we started from scratch. We didn’t have any joint savings bank account nor both of us were born rich. We... Read More

My Sweet Valentino

A week before Valentine’s Day, I told Mon I filed for a vacation leave for February 14. I didn’t feel like going to work during Valentine’s day not because I will be going on a date, but because I didn’t like to get caught in a traffic jam. He laughed at me when he knew that I filed for a time off request from work and said, "Are you planning going on a date somewhere with me?” “Those things are just for new lovers,” he added with a smirk on his face. I got irritated with his statement and instead... Read More

Akyn’s 1st Birthday Preparations (December 30,2016)

Akyn's birthday fall on the 30th of December which is celebrated as Rizal's Day here in the Philippines. December is such a busy month with all the Christmas parties and Reunion parties, that means we needed to book our suppliers as early as possible last year. I was the one who chose the birthday theme for Akyn (mother knows best). As you all know from my previous post (Akyn's Christening) that I had shared about how much I am into bears, so this time I opted to have Winnie the Pooh and Friends birthday theme. I'll share with you some... Read More

Welcome to the Christian World Baby Akyn (04-30-2016)

Our original plan for Akyn’s baptism was supposedly April 9, 2016 but because I had chicken pox it was moved to April 30, 2016. Akyn had chicken pox when he was  still 2 months old. The Varicella virus was transmitted to me since I was the primary care giver who had not experienced it. I was worried about my guests’ and suppliers’ schedules for the christening if I would move the date. A close friend of mine said, that I should be concerned more about my health and my presence to my son’s  Christening. She  advised me to move  the  planned... Read More
