London Day 1

Akyn's opening of class will still be this Wednesday. More bonding time with my Bokyn at home on this rainy morning. We will do some playtime activities after finishing this post. I'm here to share our recent family trip. Writing in our Akynfullhouse website to document another unlocked happy moment for this half term break for our Akyn on a lovely spring season. A great time to go on a family holiday. We've planned for this trip since the beginning of this year and thanks God our request for a time off was granted. It was hitting two birds in... Read More

A Walk In The Park

First day of school for our boy after his two weeks off today. "Are you going to miss me Mommie? Because I won't be missing you while I'm in school?" He blurted out while having breakfasts focused on his tablet watching cartoons not even looking at me. "Why won't you miss me? I'm going to think of you a lot today waiting for you to come home! That's not fair. " Sometimes, NO, wrong word, it should be often times, we mothers are so dramatic in every little things. Don't you agree?(LOL) He then explained to me pointing to the... Read More

Thrifting Made Easy

I promised Akyn to go thrifting with him again after his class today because yesterday I did go around Hull finding some treasures with the loveliest couple Kuya Alcid and Ate Susan introducing me to one of the best thrifting stores in town. Thank you so much Ate and Kuya for showing me around. "Why didn't you buy anything for me?" "I want us to go thrifting again today so I can get something for myself, too please Mommie!" This was his request since last night convincing me to go shopping in the middle of a two degrees cold weather.... Read More

In Everything We Appreciate

After saying the grace before meals this breakfast we've brought the topic in our dining table about appreciating more what we have just like the sumptuous meal in front of us. Some may have skipped their meals because they have nothing. Others maybe suffering from cold and darkness whilst us warmly sitting in our comfy couch. You know simple things like that are often overlooked. I would admit that sometimes I forget to recognize the full worth of something not until the moment it's gone. We used to do everyday online call with my family back home but because of... Read More

Six Years of Happiness

After two weeks of writing nothing, here I am ready to open up another page of me. The last couple of weeks was so difficult not just for me but also for our entire family way back home. A super typhoon drastically hit our hometown on the evening of the 16th of December causing too much damage to the properties of my fellow Kababayans situated where the eye of the typhoon Odette had passed. I am beyond grateful that my family are all fine apart from our roof blown away by the unforgiving strong wind. We still have not resumed... Read More

View My Thrifted Haul

I've finished watching one full sixteen episodes Koreanovela series in my two days off. How crazy is that? I love watching them but every time I watch these Korean celebrities I always end up feeling too ugly with how I look. (LOL)They just look so perfect like you can't even see any visible pores in their faces with perfect petite body Asian structure. I wonder how much sacrifice they need to undertake to achieve such beautiful figures. Nah, never mind! I'm completely happy with me being free to eat whatever I want. I'm trying to search for another series to... Read More

Bridlington Family Trip

I had a little ME time moment after I sent my Akyn to school this morning. It feels refreshing to do things we love for ourselves pretty Mommas from time to time. Went to my favorite thrift shop to get some home decors then had a short peek of new clothes for this season from my favorite clothesline. Shopping has always been a therapeutic activity for me. I should do some haul for my newest collections of thrifted decors on my future post and how I style it at home. Don't you think that would be interesting? Anyway for today... Read More

Reality Bites

Good morning fellas! It's my fifth day for my rest day. Wow! First time ever to experience such a lengthy time off. Only a few overtime shifts are being offered now in the hospital which is quite new to me because usually loads of extra shifts are available. Anyway, I'm not complaining at all as it's quite scary to go on duty now with the pandemic still unresolved, isn't it? I've been working as an overseas nurse for a year and three months now. How was it to work away from our home? Loads of nice things to enjoy. However,... Read More

Grimsby

Because it is my rest day I've already made plans on how to spend it two days before I went off on duty. Isn't it obvious how much I am looking forward to chill out a bit? You know it when we are on the adulting phase already because we are so much excited to be leaving from work on time not because we got some night gigs to attend to. Rather, we wanted to spend a peaceful "ME TIME" with no stress, no rush just us enjoying what we love. So what's up for today? First things first, decided... Read More

Treat To Myself

Few hours left before Christmas, it is. Many are in a rush doing holiday shopping. Kitchens are all smelling with delightful food prepared for the family gathering tonight. Everyone seems busy while here I am all tucked in my bed completing this post before I'll head to work tonight. Chill mode activated! I'm done wrapping with all my presents last night, anyway. So I really got nothing to get myself busy with. As they said Christmas is about sharing with what you have, a time when generosity overflows. I just love it. Nothing beats with my favorite time of the... Read More

Paint It Own It

We are heading to almost half of November and in about six to five weeks Christmas is coming. I am deeply amazed on how fast the calendar flips everyday. Haven't even noticed it. Has anything changed in our lives from January up to the current date, be it a drastic difference or a little deviation from the normal life we have? There must be, right? If there's none, consider it alarming to waste the entire year of doing nothing. Dreams will never get realized when no effort is done to make it into a reality. The weather here is getting... After A Year

Big drops of rain poured non stop this afternoon while walking around the city centre during my second rest day but I'm crazily loving every chilly wind hitting my cheeks. Gloomy weather excites me since I was a kid. God I miss this kind of coldness. I got my umbrella with me. Ever ready stroller as you may call it. Yay! Enjoying each step on a puddle of water then a little splash damping my shoes. Is that what happens when you got too many night shift duties for the month?LOL. Hey pretty Mommas July is about to end today,... Read More

Keep Your Head Up

My feet was moving nonstop as the day progressed during my last shift. Not yet done with the first task and there came another Doctor's order for me to comply. It was a never ending completion of jobs to finish on that day. I didn't mind at all doing lots of orders. However, I felt terribly shattered. I'm always carrying a little candle within my heart firing with enthusiasm believing my day will be absolutely fine no matter how busy the ward is. Heavy workload isn't new to me anymore. My resilience to it is already proven unbeatable. What usually... Read More
