Ikea UK

I am supposed to write the consecutive parts of our London trip but decided to write our Ikea in Leeds adventure instead as a part of me again is so much excited to share my weakness to shopping home decors. Who wouldn't be when Ikea has so many beatiful choices out for display? Overwhelming shopping experience for this Momma. Me and my boys taking a selfie before the journey begins. It was a lovely Sunday morning when we went there. After attending the Holy mass, the Reginos invited us if we wanted to go to Leeds. Our initial plan was... Read More

Natural History Museum London Day Three

I spent like almost an hour of videocall talking to my sister back home sharing all the juicy updates happening in each of our lives. It feels nice to have someone to whom you can call as your BFF/sister, isn't it? I got somebody I can share both my happiness and my not so good day. And I'm confident she won't drag me down using my weaknesses, the bad side info of me I've shared with her. I've met a lot of people to whom I've thought was a FRIEND to me apparently they are the opposite. They'll just dressed... Read More

London Second Day

As much as I wanted to wait for next week to finish another blog but I can't resist the eagerness to share it to my website about how nice our vacation went to the busy, always in a rush London life. Our day usually start with a sumptuous breakfast enough to fuel us for another nonstop walking day. Yes, we really need to get a good meal for the day plus the comfiest pair of shoes if we wanted to survive a fun-filled tour. We went to the nearest Italian resturant near our hotel before going on to ride a... Read More

Three years was just like one snap of my finger, time was so fast.😂 Here's me enjoying my three year anniversary as an immigrant. I got employed as a registered nurse... Read More

Stonehenge

I'm starting to feel a little bit better compared to yesterday when I had to stay in bed all day with my non stop fever and body ached all over. I got hit with Covid again for the second time around.😥I had my two vaccines plus my booster dose but the effect of the virus on my first day was still terrible. I'm glad my fever is off now just clogged nose and cough with mild headache. I felt like this second Covid that hit me is stronger than my last year's experience. I'm glad I had my vaccination. It... Another me time Monday giving me my free moment to update my akynfullhouse. It feels like something is incomplete with my week if I can't write a post. Bath Trip Part 2

We were celebrating my sister's graduation for her Master's Degree in her teaching profession yesterday. All her hardwork had finally paid off with an additional achievement unlocked in her career development. Nothing is really impossible if we are determined to get our goals realized. Thank you dear God for another family blessing.😘 For today's blog post is the second part of our Bath, Somerset family holiday. I am so proud of ourselves in making our DIY travel a memorable one. Yes, we normally don't avail for a travel package when we go explore places. To save our travel budget what... Read More

His First Solo Cantor Experience

While walking with my Akyn in going to school earlier in the middle of the breezing cold winter of three degrees this morning, he asked me randomly,"Did God make this cold weather Mommie?" I said yes and he further asked,"Why?" I need to answer his question or else he won't stop dropping the topic not until he will get the answer to it. "Because God wants us to experience what a cold weather feels like." "If we only have a nice weather all the time then we won't be able to appreciate how lovely the sun is without knowing how... Thrifting Made Easy

I promised Akyn to go thrifting with him again after his class today because yesterday I did go around Hull finding some treasures with the loveliest couple Kuya Alcid and Ate Susan introducing me to one of the best thrifting stores in town. Thank you so much Ate and Kuya for showing me around. "Why didn't you buy anything for me?" "I want us to go thrifting again today so I can get something for myself, too please Mommie!" This was his request since last night convincing me to go shopping in the middle of a two degrees cold weather.... Read More

In Everything We Appreciate

After saying the grace before meals this breakfast we've brought the topic in our dining table about appreciating more what we have just like the sumptuous meal in front of us. Some may have skipped their meals because they have nothing. Others maybe suffering from cold and darkness whilst us warmly sitting in our comfy couch. You know simple things like that are often overlooked. I would admit that sometimes I forget to recognize the full worth of something not until the moment it's gone. We used to do everyday online call with my family back home but because of... Read More

Hi 2022

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you are all enjoying with the fresh start for this year. I usually begin my blog every new calendar flip with looking back how my 2021 went to wrap up all my learnings for the previous year rather than right away setting up my present goals. How do you kick off your first day out of 365 days? Well, everybody has their own ways of doing it. What matters most is how we face the whole spin of our 2022. Do you agree with it pretty Mommas. Let's start by looking pretty. (LOL)🤣... Read More

Six Years of Happiness

After two weeks of writing nothing, here I am ready to open up another page of me. The last couple of weeks was so difficult not just for me but also for our entire family way back home. A super typhoon drastically hit our hometown on the evening of the 16th of December causing too much damage to the properties of my fellow Kababayans situated where the eye of the typhoon Odette had passed. I am beyond grateful that my family are all fine apart from our roof blown away by the unforgiving strong wind. We still have not resumed... Read More

Be Bright

It's Monday which means a blogging day for this Momma on rest day with four degrees freezing weather outside. Going out still? No, thank you! I'd rather stay at home and enjoy my writing day. 😂 Little things like this of having the freedom to do what I like versus doing what I am needing to finish is one of the best moment for a busy bee mum. It's like a precious jewel we always want to savor every bit of it, don't you agree? Today, whilst scrolling down my Facebook memory lane, I've read an online post about getting... Read More

Visa Approved

Finally my most dreaded day of having my tooth extraction was done yesterday although I'm still feeling sore with my gums and my soft diet regime continues for the next two days.😩 It's always a long wait here to get a slot to see the dentist due to the pandemic. Covid 19 had tremendously affected almost everything in our lives normality. We should be thankful we are still here amidst the cruelty of the virus. 🙏 As with my previous post, I did mention about an important appointment we had to attend when we went to Leeds. I tried to... First Time?

"Hi, is this the gate for Year one?" I had to ask one of the parents whose son happened to be my Akyn's classmate. "First time, ey?" he responded with a smile. Obviously yes it was our first time to come with everything all new to us but we're more than excited to let Akyn start his new school. It was only yesterday as well when I managed to buy all his new set of uniforms ready to be worn this morning. Look at my little gentleman smiling all for Mommie's obsession of taking photos of my handsome baby. Why... Read More
