In Everything We Appreciate

After saying the grace before meals this breakfast we've brought the topic in our dining table about appreciating more what we have just like the sumptuous meal in front of us. Some may have skipped their meals because they have nothing. Others maybe suffering from cold and darkness whilst us warmly sitting in our comfy couch. You know simple things like that are often overlooked. I would admit that sometimes I forget to recognize the full worth of something not until the moment it's gone. We used to do everyday online call with my family back home but because of... Read More

Hi 2022

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you are all enjoying with the fresh start for this year. I usually begin my blog every new calendar flip with looking back how my 2021 went to wrap up all my learnings for the previous year rather than right away setting up my present goals. How do you kick off your first day out of 365 days? Well, everybody has their own ways of doing it. What matters most is how we face the whole spin of our 2022. Do you agree with it pretty Mommas. Let's start by looking pretty. (LOL)🤣... Read More

Six Years of Happiness

After two weeks of writing nothing, here I am ready to open up another page of me. The last couple of weeks was so difficult not just for me but also for our entire family way back home. A super typhoon drastically hit our hometown on the evening of the 16th of December causing too much damage to the properties of my fellow Kababayans situated where the eye of the typhoon Odette had passed. I am beyond grateful that my family are all fine apart from our roof blown away by the unforgiving strong wind. We still have not resumed... Read More

Be Bright

It's Monday which means a blogging day for this Momma on rest day with four degrees freezing weather outside. Going out still? No, thank you! I'd rather stay at home and enjoy my writing day. 😂 Little things like this of having the freedom to do what I like versus doing what I am needing to finish is one of the best moment for a busy bee mum. It's like a precious jewel we always want to savor every bit of it, don't you agree? Today, whilst scrolling down my Facebook memory lane, I've read an online post about getting... Read More

Visa Approved

Finally my most dreaded day of having my tooth extraction was done yesterday although I'm still feeling sore with my gums and my soft diet regime continues for the next two days.😩 It's always a long wait here to get a slot to see the dentist due to the pandemic. Covid 19 had tremendously affected almost everything in our lives normality. We should be thankful we are still here amidst the cruelty of the virus. 🙏 As with my previous post, I did mention about an important appointment we had to attend when we went to Leeds. I tried to... First Time?

"Hi, is this the gate for Year one?" I had to ask one of the parents whose son happened to be my Akyn's classmate. "First time, ey?" he responded with a smile. Obviously yes it was our first time to come with everything all new to us but we're more than excited to let Akyn start his new school. It was only yesterday as well when I managed to buy all his new set of uniforms ready to be worn this morning. Look at my little gentleman smiling all for Mommie's obsession of taking photos of my handsome baby. Why... Read More

Coffee Nook and Everything Nice

Having my me time for a couple of hours while my Akyn is in school is absolutely relaxing. It allows me to do my hobby just like blogging without feeling guilty of not looking after my boy because of getting too preocuppied of thinking what to write. Mon is also at work in York which would mean I have my alone moment."Go pretty Momma enjoy doing your morning skin care without rushing for my Mommy duties!" What's the latest update for Akynfullhouse? I've been so productive for the previous days. Apart from working straight nights, duh the usual work routine,... Read More

My Software Developer

Common problems of overseas workers with young children is about childcare especially if both parents are working just like me and Mon. I would consider myself lucky because both my employer and Mon's boss are quite willing to make some little adjustments with our schedules so we can have an alternating off duties to look after our Akyn. It's not easy to live abroad with no other close relatives to help us. So, for those wanting to migrate abroad, childcare should be one of the considerations to make if both couples seek to get employed. Our main inspiration to work... Read More

Bridlington Family Trip

I had a little ME time moment after I sent my Akyn to school this morning. It feels refreshing to do things we love for ourselves pretty Mommas from time to time. Went to my favorite thrift shop to get some home decors then had a short peek of new clothes for this season from my favorite clothesline. Shopping has always been a therapeutic activity for me. I should do some haul for my newest collections of thrifted decors on my future post and how I style it at home. Don't you think that would be interesting? Anyway for today... Read More

Thrift Flip Home Decors

It's a sunny Saturday and I'm on a rest day. How nice is that? Once in a blue moon when I'm off on a weekend. Yay, celebrating those little moments of happiness pretty Mommas of enjoying life away from the hospital stress work-related. LOL. This is me taking a selfie while doing thrift shopping for home decorations. Yesterday was the last day of school before the spring break of my boy. They did a photoshoot taking with his Dad just before heading to school. I can really tell now Akyn is a 100% the same photo addict like me who... Read More

My First Balikbayan Box

I've just finished having a videocall with my Papa and Mama who were excited to share their new hair cut style today. LOL. They are my favorite constant chatmates everyday as well as my sister with no days we won't be talking to each other. It's like part of my routine to check on them before Akyn goes to school in the morning so they can see their cheerful grandson to start the day happy. Speaking of Akyn going to school today, he was two minutes late than his usual schedule in waiting for the school gate to open just... Read More

Reality Bites

Good morning fellas! It's my fifth day for my rest day. Wow! First time ever to experience such a lengthy time off. Only a few overtime shifts are being offered now in the hospital which is quite new to me because usually loads of extra shifts are available. Anyway, I'm not complaining at all as it's quite scary to go on duty now with the pandemic still unresolved, isn't it? I've been working as an overseas nurse for a year and three months now. How was it to work away from our home? Loads of nice things to enjoy. However,... Read More

London Day 2

It took me ages to publish the second half of our trip because the workaholic me is back to my original work mode addict. Is there any tablet to cure this addiction to working, do you know? I honestly don't either. This love for work will then continue until further notice. After having a well rested night from our first London exploration madness we were both all set to start another exciting non stop walk with alternating photo-shoot taking. What's the top on the list to accomplish? Sherlock Holmes. Say what? You've read it right. Sherlock Holmes' place in London.... Read More

Paint It Own It

We are heading to almost half of November and in about six to five weeks Christmas is coming. I am deeply amazed on how fast the calendar flips everyday. Haven't even noticed it. Has anything changed in our lives from January up to the current date, be it a drastic difference or a little deviation from the normal life we have? There must be, right? If there's none, consider it alarming to waste the entire year of doing nothing. Dreams will never get realized when no effort is done to make it into a reality. The weather here is getting...
