SM Seaside Cebu First Visit

The three of us finally decided to visit SM Seaside Cebu last Sunday after almost three years from the date when it opened. Yey! One down from our checklist. We kept on postponing our attempt to go there every time we had a chance to, simply because we felt lazy traveling. What a great excuse! Last weekends, our laziness turned into eagerness to have a family bonding. Another first time for us  to enjoy.☺ If you can notice my previous posts always talk about making the most of our family time that’s because new opportunities are knocking which may greatly... Royal Krua Thai Dinner

We made an agreement yesterday with Mon to meet up after our work schedules because ammh we missed each other I guess?☺Haha. He misses me everyday according to him that’s how powerful my beauty is. No violent reaction please so I can proceed finishing this blog. It’s refreshing to unwind after work to release all those negative stresses at work. My work life remains at work. I don’t bring the negativities from the busy environment with me. Once I leave the building, my work mode is automatically switched off. I work to live and not the other way around. I’m... Read More

I’m A Scaredy Cat

Both the 1st and the 2nd day of November are my favorite days to watch TV since childhood. Why? Merely because I love getting scared watching horror films. Most of the shows on TV even the news are all themed for the Halloween. As they said happy hormones are released every time we are frightened. So that’s my excuse rationale on why I still crave to watch scary films though it sometimes provide me a disturbing fear after watching. Without any signs of fear or inhibition Mon courageously finished watching two movies. Amazing! I also survived completing the movie while... Read More

Papa’s Birthday

I asked my Papa about his plans for his birthday a few weeks ago. It is so fortunate his special day fell on a Sunday which would mean a rest day for all of us. We can be together to celebrate it as a family. Gave him options to choose whether he wanted to have a family dinner buffet, a beach family trip, a cooking day with me at home or a treat to shop what he liked to purchase for himself. It’s only a once a year celebration for me to treat him. What a great opportunity for us... Read More

The Negative Sign

We finally made up our mind to request for a change of  our broadband/landline  provider two months ago because of some problems with the intermittent interruption with the service. Almost every two weeks our internet connection wasn’t working due to  stolen cable wires. I would understand it was not the fault of the telecommunication company, however, I also don’t think that it should be the customer who  shall  suffer the consequence. So, this must the end of our almost six years relationship with my broadband provider. Everything has an end! ☺Lol. The conversation with them went smoothly when I requested for... Read More

Chloe’s First Birthday

First birthdays are always considered as special by most parents. Of course, it only happens once in our babies’ life and as much as possible, we wanted it to be remembered as a joyous celebration. Regardless of the cost, we are more than willing to spend for the occasion. I could remember during Akyn’s 1st birthday  where I was  so overwhelmed with the preparation  because I  took charge of all the planning of the details including the theme, venue and all the suppliers.  Thankfully, my family also helped me with the implementation of the DIY stuff. Goodness gracious! It wasn’t... Read More

Floating Charge

I thought I was going to have an uneventful Sunday but something came up making my weekend a bit stressed. I'm still wanting to enjoy the lazy bedroom feeling of my day off at home with my family where we were free to wake up anytime without rushing to avoid getting late. How I wish I could extend my day off until today.☺ So what exactly happened last Sunday? We went grocery shopping in SM Hypermarket Lapu Lapu and upon making the payment like any usual routine, I handed my credit card to the cashier. Both my cards from RCBC and Citibank had no... I Love Sundays

How was your Sunday beautiful Mommas? My work shift is about to change and for the longest time I’ve been waiting for, I finally had the chance to enjoy my Sunday as my day off. (Happy Dance☺) Yey, no more rushing moments after my shift trying to catch the schedule for the next Holy Mass with my family. FREEDOM! A Sunday can’t be complete for us without hearing the Eucharist. For married couples, I’m sure many of us were able to relate to the second reading for yesterday, Ephesians 5:21-32. It was beautifully written. Let me share you the first... Read More

A Kilo Of Eggplant

Sunday, when you’re at work but your body is conditioned to stay at home supposedly spending a lazy day with your family. Bummer! If I only have the freedom to choose my own work schedules…. that would be totally terrific! Many of you can relate to my sentiments, I know. Let’s think about something positive for yesterday instead. Mon and I decided to head home together after they had their Team building sponsored by their company. I often get envy with how their employer values them. As per Mon, whenever they do raise a concern about anything related to work,... Read More

Champurado

“Mommy, eat Akyn Chochowait (chocolate).” My son’s request every time he sees me preparing the chocolate porridge for breakfast as we locally call the dish as “Champurado“. He loves eating it the same way as I do. This type of breakfast clearly reminds me of my sweet childhood. Almost everyday my Lola prepared rice porridge for our breakfast. I could finish two servings of it. Aggrh! It was so delicious especially if you’re going to add powdered milk as toppings. Hunger satisfied. Do you also have a favorite food that can give a nostalgic effects on you? I got plenty... Read More

Sister’s Birthday

Happiest birthday to my beautiful sister. We got so many reasons to celebrate her birthday today. Another gift of life to enjoy the love of our family. We are so much thankful she was safe as she was approaching her natal day. If you’ve read my previous post about one of our dearest friend who recently passed away, she was my sister’s closest co-teacher. They were always together wherever they go. It just so happened during the accident my sister has an appointment for her Masters Class. If not, she could have gone with the same vehicle where Ma’am Daisy... Read More

Dating Lovebirds

Monthsary celebration is becoming not that special to us as compared to those days before we got married. I don’t know, maybe because we were both preoccupied with our everyday responsibilities making us forget those special moments. It was like a mortal sin before if one of us will fail to remember our Monthsary during our younger years (college sweethearts). Who can relate to this? Lol. Our Wedding Anniversary though is an exception! We always find time to celebrate our wedding anniversaries. Who wouldn’t want to celebrate one of the happiest event of being married? It doesn’t need to be... Read More

Easter Egg Burger

Happy Easter Sunday everyone. Because it’s Easter, my sister and I made a homemade burger with eggs as one of its main ingredients. Yey! Cravings satisfied. I recently watched the advertisement of some local fast food chains about their enticing burgers which made me salivate with just the sight of it. But upon purchasing one of the delectable burgers as shown on TV, I came to experience what it means with the quote that says“REALITY versus EXPECTATIONS”. Lol I better make my own food rather than believing with those witty tactics of those businesses. Note to self: Not all that glitters are gold. Ok, let's start cooking instead!... Read More

Buko Palamig for Summer

I am officially opening the start of my summer for this year. Yey! With the unbearable hotness of the weather, I can really feel my summer in the blazing heat of the sun. Who’s not excited to get tanned and enjoy swimming? Get ready with your cool beach swimwear ladies.(Wink)☺ Because I feel so hot both literally and figuratively (lol), I made a Buko Gulaman drink for my first try. I had published about my Buko Pandan salad , this time I added some twist on it by turning it into a plain Milky Buko Drink with clear Gulaman. The... Read More

Buko Pandan Salad Recipe

Mama celebrated her birthday yesterday and I was the one in charge in the kitchen for the preparation of food. Can you believe that? Miraculously, I survived the challenge of being a chef just for my mother's special day. I'll share to you my first time experience in making a Buko Pandan Salad. A celebration won’t be complete without the presence of the sweetness of a dessert. It's a bit exciting experimenting my power in coming up with the dessert using my own instinct in adjusting its ingredients depending on the number of servings I want to make. Ingredients good for 10-12... Read More
