Pilipinas Vacation 2023 Part 1

After three years we finally made it realized to visit back home in Cebu again. Too many things happened within my three years stay as an OFW in the UK. To mention the unexpected Covid 19 pandemic hit followed by the strict protocols in travelling especially in going out of the country. It made it very tedious to travel. I missed home every passing day and this moment shown in the photo is my most awaited day to set my feet back to my hometown. The feeling is still so fresh of how much I am so eager to get... Mon’s Birthday and Everything Nice

It took me a while to write something new because I've been a so much of a worrier lately regarding some concerns about our owned properties at home that needs sorting out. It's a long overdue process that I should have dealt with before but I chose to procrastinate because I already contemplated the hassle both financially and most of all emotionally draining fighting to get what is ought to be MINE. I attended the Holy mass last Sunday to get more strength to overcome our family challenge at this moment, especially my Mama trying to display a brave face... Read More

Lisa’s Waxmelts and Shower Whips

For this blog I will be promoting the small business of one of my workmates turned into a nice friend of mine called Lisa's waxmelts. I've known her since I moved to a different job posting. First Communion of Akyn

An important milestone in Akyn's Catholic life was realized last Saturday. It still felt surreal witnessing him during the whole ceremony. I am a proud mother for my boy, well most mum's do. We carry our child for nine months in our tummy, spent sleepless nights attending to our newborn and the list continues. With the bond moms had created to their child, it is just right for us, mothers to be the first loyal fan of our kids in every life achievements they'll have. Well done Akyn, so there! I couldn't keep my eyes away from him through out... Read More

Doors

Sunny morning Pretty Mommas. I can start my blog with completely a different topic but I chose the weather. Why? Because part of the adulting life is starting a small talk discussing about the weather most commonly, the safest way to connect and engage in a conversation. Don't you agree? I myself who isn't that good with my social skills would personally choose to talk about the climate situation first just to break the awkward silence. LOL🤣 Too many things to learn and adapt with all these adult life task. From socializing, continuous responsibilities to get done and the list... Read More

Life Update First Q 2023

The first quarter of 2023 is almost finished. How fast the days went! I've also had reached my fourth year of stay in this country. Yay! Happy fourth to us as an immigrant. Is it a big deal surviving this long to stay in a country with completely different culture from us? Of course, it ain't easy adapting to everything new. Coming here with only a suitcase full of clothes leaving everything we've started back home because we wanted change to happen to our professional growth is something I will always be thankful I decided to take the risk. It... Read More

World Book Day 2023

An amazing power that writing can do is the capability of evoking different emotions to each readers. An article or a book can make us feel happy, inspired, laugh with the words used by the writers encouraging unique interpretations from the book loyalist. On the other hand, written words can also trigger the opposite of positive interpretations. Quite an amazing trick writers could do to play with humans' emotions, isn't it?😂 When I post a blog, do I consider if somebody might take it negatively and presume that I might be pointing the post towards them? The answer is I... Read More

Moonlight Piece First Place Piano Competition

We are all still feeling very elated after Akyn's performance last Saturday when he joined a piano competition in Cottingham. Mon and I are so proud of our baby's effort to overcome his fear of performing in front of a huge crowd. Almost everyone has that fear even me as a grown up I would be petrified to be on the spot. How much more for a seven year old boy! The night before Akyn's performance, he expressed how scared he would be for the next day and we, as the parents could at least offer our words of encouragement... Read More

In Liverpool Day 2

As planned, here's the second part of our trip to Liverpool. Traveling doesn't only mean ticking the box of accomplished places we've visited but it's our own way of gaining our energy back from the stressful adulting life. So thankful to my friends' suggestions as to where to visit next here in the UK. Everyday is an opportunity to discover more about this county. I'm always excited to visit new places with my family especially if I know shopping is very much recommended to the nearby big shops of the area. LOL😁 I'll start my blog with my travel OOTD.... Newest Obsession, My Happy Bubble

A calm Wednesday morning for me to start writing for my blog again. Hello pretty Mommas. Hope everyone is slaying their day like how a gorgeous momma should do. 😘 We were playing a card game this morning during breakfast by giving each other a card of prayer suited to whoever will get it. I gave Mon the card of work prayer as he is going to work from home today. For Akyn, he got the prayer of Wisdom before going to school and for me, Mon gave me the prayer for Forgiveness. I asked him, "To forgive who?" Then... Read More

London Second Day

As much as I wanted to wait for next week to finish another blog but I can't resist the eagerness to share it to my website about how nice our vacation went to the busy, always in a rush London life. Our day usually start with a sumptuous breakfast enough to fuel us for another nonstop walking day. Yes, we really need to get a good meal for the day plus the comfiest pair of shoes if we wanted to survive a fun-filled tour. We went to the nearest Italian resturant near our hotel before going on to ride a... Read More

Date with Akyn

I've added another school photo of Akyn in my photo wall gallery upstairs. When you enter our house and look up our stairs, these are the lovely photos that will welcome you to our little abode. Nothing grand gallery but so much welcoming with our Akyn's smile. He's growing more cheerful everyday and believe it or not, this boy doesn't even know how to elicit a frowning face totally opposite to his mum.🤣(LOL) He tried several attempts to frown but failed. I'm starting to believe now those superstitious beliefs that when a mum has a happy pregnancy experience, eventually the... Read More
